My blog is mostly dedicated to ranting and groaning at my fellow human beings at the stupid sh*t they do. B*tching, denouncing, attacking, grumbling, bellyaching, and criticizing can all be found here.

And, of course, you'll find the objecting and defenses of the accused. Those you can ignore, because they're not really important.

I have to tell you, I love the nearly endless supply of literature there is available to all of us. Especially here in America, where cultures come and mix together like waves from different oceans splashing onto the same shore to wave over and be soaked up by anyone around. It's wonderful.

Just take a look at the library where you live or in your school. They have everything from the various types of fiction to the various types of non-fiction. There's atlases, textbooks, magazines, manuals, various editions of bibles of different religious, encyclopedias, essays, memoirs, fantasies, inspirational (every teen knows the book I'm talking about when I say that), novels and novellas, adventures, romances, biographies, poetry, epic poetry, fables, comedies, satires, mysteries, references, and the list goes on.

There are also works other then in text. There are mangas and videos and DVD's and CD's and Audio books and so on and so forth. It's a wide mix of everything, which make almost every trip a safari in literature. And if you can't find it on hard copy among the shelves, you're bound to find it in the largest collection of information there ever was and will be: the internet. Now, a song by Avenue Q states that the Internet is for porn, and that maybe be true, but while your porn is downloading, you need something else to look at, right? this is where the other 99% of the Internets contents come in. Wonders from everywhere await your discover if you know just the right phrase to type into your favorite search engine like Google, Yahoo, or Bing.com.

For me, when it come to the selection in a library, I head for the Young Adults section. I love most of the stuff I'll find in there. Honestly, they're like my own brand of heroine: I'm addicted for life, with no intention of quitting and no awful side-effects. My veins and nose won't cave-in, and the police won't be knocking at my door to make sure I'm no running an Illegal book-binding sniffing house (it would take a massive stake-out op. find us and then an entire SWAT team to take us out, mwa ha ha!) lab or anything.

And with the widening range of authors these days, everyone (and I mean that literally) is finding something they can sink their teeth into (though THAT'S not literal, I hope.) I've been seeing a rise in people reading that I would never imagine picking up a book. Fellow teens that belong to the "Fashion" cliques are cracking open full-length novels about stuff they can, or think they can (in most cases) relate to. Books that have to deal with young mothers in Gang-torn neighborhoods and such. A girl a year my senior name Sandra described a book called G-Spot, a novel by Noire. It's not just about ***, but a tale where the moral is that nothing in life is free and not all that glitters is platinum. Noire even uses street-slang through the text in place of "mentally-challenging" words.

Me... I think I'll stick to my adventures and fantasies and stuff. None of that relates to me, and I have no desire to dive into their struggles and such. I guess what I'm saying is: there IS a book for everyone, whether is be with or without pictures and with or without slang. They don't even have to be long (the point of novellas.) Just go for something that catches your eye and your imagination. So please, do us all a favor in order to become more well-informed about the world around you, use the 26 Latin symbols the Romans gave us along with the millions of combination they make and READ!
