In an interview with celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, 50 Cent opened up about his childhood and his understanding of his mother’s sexuality.

“She liked women. My whole childhood was like that. When you see two females together you think they just girlfriends, they really close.

“Actually even could be, in comparison, as close as she is to a man, she is to that actual girl. With my mom the male was missing, so when you are that small that’s all you interpret it as, you don’t see anything that would indicate that there is other things going on.”

50 Cent AKA ‘Fiddy’ was mainly raised by his grandmother, as his mother passed away when he was a child. In the interview, Fiddy explains how his grandmother helped him to understand his mother’s sexuality;

“Later my grandmother told me how that kiss was a little different from those other kisses you saw.”

Perez confronted Fiddy in the interview about homophobic remarks he made in the past, to which 50 Cent responded: “If you say things without malice in your heart, then its not a big mental struggle for you to go and say that wasn’t my intention.”

Perez replied and laughed: “But you did say repeatedly say a lot of very homophobic things and in case you didn’t know, I’m a big homo.”

Fiddy recently commented on President Obama’s support for same-sex marriage: “If the president is saying that, then who am I to go the other way?"

Nikolay Alexeyev, founder of Moscow Gay Pride, has had his appeal against the century-long ban on the parade rejected by Moscow City Court.

Mr Alexeyev filed an appeal against the June ban – which will prevent the city’s LGBT community from holding anything that resembles a gay pride march, rally or celebration for the next 100 years.

Speaking to the Russian Legal Information Agency, RAPSI, the activist said that the Moscow gay parade’s organisers had let it be known to city authorities last August that pride parades would be held in 2012 and also for the next 100 years.

The activists used a loophole in the law that only determines the deadline for submitting rally applications (no later than 30-45 days before the event), but does not state how far in advance events can be submitted.

The favoured location for the rallies was Moscow’s Bolotnaya Square.

Mr Alexeyev said: “After an extended period, the city refused to issue permits for the rallies for this year and for all of the next 100 years. They cited possible riots, as well as public opinion which came out against it.”

The Moscow Tverskoy District Court ruled the city’s decision legal in June, and later the Moscow City Court upheld the decision.

According to RAPSI, the courts press service said: “The judge found no grounds for submitting the appeal to the Presidium for consideration.”

Mr Alexeyev told Gayrussia that he still fully intended to appeal to the European Court on Human Rights in Strasbourg over the issue.

Mr Alexeyev also said via Twitter yesterday that he had now paid the first fine for “disseminating homosexual propaganda.”
He was fined 5,000 rubles (£100) under the new local anti-gay law in St Petersburg after being detained for picketing outside the city’s legislature building in April this year in protest at their new anti-gay law.

Former Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov described attempts to hold a gay pride parade in the capital as “satanic.”

Undercover South Carolina sheriffs used a series of sting operations to entrap gay men and suspected prostitutes into having sex in public or for money, but then arrested them anyway when this failed

South Carolina’s Greenville Country Sheriff’s Office has been criticized for entrapping and then arresting gay men and others for behaviours which are not illegal.

The American Civil Liberties Union found multiple cases where undercover sheriffs had sought to entrap people into engaging in illegal sexual activity including sex in public and prostitution, but then arrested then anyway when this failed.

Undercover Greenville county officers approached people parked in their cars, sitting on their own porches or simply walking down the street and asked them to engage in illegal sexual activities, but then arrested them when they either declined or suggested engaging in legal private ***ual acts instead.

The arrests were part of a series of sting operations targeting sex workers and men who have sex with men.

Officers arrested people for simply being in places known to be frequented by sex workers, for being ‘known prostitutes’ or for merely saying they’d ‘think about it’ when asked to have sex for money or in public.

One officer arrested a gay man for touching him after the officer had asked him for oral sex.

Another woman was charged with assault and battery after she touched the thigh of an officer who had picked her up in his car and then offered to pay her for sex despite indicating her she would rather have sex for free in a private location.

The ACLU have written to both the Greenville Country Sheriff’s Office and the South Carolina state solicitor’s office to deplore the tactics.

Soccer player came out last year while playing for Montreal Impact

Fierté Montréal -- Montreal Pride -- is honouring soccer player David Testo. He will serve as the event's English language human rights spokesperson and the parade grand marshal.

Testo went public with his sexuality while playing for the Montreal Impact, making him one of the few professional athletes to do so.

The news was reported on major news outlets across North America last year.

The 30-year-old mid-fielder came out following the suicide of gay Ottawa teen Jamie Hubley. Testo told Xtra he hopes his coming out will provide a role model for teens both in an out of sport.

LOL!

It’s A Quote!

“You Can Safely Assume That You’ve Created God in Your Own Image When it Turns Out That God Hates All the Same People You Do.” ~ Anne Lamott

LOL!

It’s A Myth!

Myth

Gay and Lesbian individuals are sexually promiscuous

Fact

Promiscuity has nothing to do with one's sexual orientation, but rather one's values and beliefs. Just as in the heterosexual community, some gay and lesbian people are promiscuous, some are not.

LOL!

And finally…
