Wow :reallysad. I know someone from this site who suffers from both and she is the greatest friend ever. Everything in here reminds me of her. The pins and needles, stomache pains, headaches, pergnancy issues, the shame, the only thing she has control of. :reallysad She has been this way since she was 12 and she is now 23. Although she has friends and a social life she is hiding a very lonely world from her friends and family. I am 1 of only 2 that know about her situation. I wish I could help her but she doen't want my help. She just wants someone to talk to and listen to her about her problems. It can sometimes be depressing but I still listen only because I care about her. ...........

good post, lots of good information.Sad but one of the underlying issues is the fact that more times than not society is the cause for this behavioral disorder... the media being ***ually driven, overly superficial, and the idolization of models/celebs who are skinny but not healthy.
    Gone.

I would rather be HATED by most for doing the right thing, than
being loved by all for doing the WRONG thing.

So sad, I used to work with a girl who was so beautiful, long red hair, green eyes healthy glowing skin. I worked with her for two years, I would watch her eat like crazy then take a bunch of ex-lax at first I did not realize the problem there but after awhile she lost her beauty, became pale, hair thin, no lust for life, it was sad to watch.

this thread is amazing, its so nice to see that someone has done this and taken the time to compile it. even if you copied and pasted (which im not saying you did, i dont know) its still very kind of you to post this information for everyone. we could do with some more topical threads with this sort of information.

    kudos to you! :clap

Yeah, I was bullimic soon enough into 12-13.
I just felt like throwing up was so much better than eating... and after I ate I just wanted to puke every time. My stomach didn't like food, but I knew I would never be abled to fulfill my goals in life if I wasn't healthy and strong enough to attempt them. by the time I was 14.

I still actually want to puke it up... but I hold it in.

    You say you're weak,
You would never let me down,
    You lie through your teeth,
    You smile in your sleep.

I was Bulimic like 2 years ago, but then I stopped because I saw how much damage it does to your body and everything. =/
I really hated it, I was so self-concious and still am tbh.

Bulimia really damages the esophagus. You can also rupture it and that will cause so many problems. Also it doesnt help anyone lose weight rather than maintain weight, and most start due to psychological problems.

i think the causes for anorexia and bulimia is the media. you see these skin and bone girls walking around all the time. and the worst part is, they actually think they look good. just remember everyone, you look beautiful no matter what people say.
