I got the book for christmas last year.I guess for a person thats doesnt know how to cook .Its a good book.I have been cooking since i was 17 and i thought it was a joke in a way.I would never make any of that crap. There is so many ways to make simple meals.Like this simple party dip.1 whole block of velveeta melted in a crockpot,1 can of Hormels beanless chili add to crocker and just brown a package of bob evans breakfeast sage sausage.Grind it up up if needed.Add that and heat on low.Watch what ur guest say.i promise u!

P.S: Anyone that needs cooking tips i am willing to help all i can.I know alot but i dont know it all.No chef does.

I was messing around trying to find something new and easy to put together in a hurry if company came over.

Pre-cooked ham cut into small pieces
    pillsbury premade pie crust
    1 box of scalloped potatoes
    1 can of creamed corn
    any seasonings you prefer
I used creole it has just about everything in it and has a little spice

lay the potatoes in the bottom of a non stick baking pan
pour the milk and cheese mixture over them add the ham and creamed corn
top with the pie crust and bake at 350 for about 30-40 minutes
let it cool just a little so it thickens up

    it actually came out good
everyone thought I slaved over the stove making it lolol

Well you forgot to tell us that then, I'd have made my own potatoes so would have needed that info.

well Im sure you could use your own potatoes only you would have to slice them paper thin and then use shredded cheese instead
its just a method of cooking
you could make it any way you want.
its just quicker using premade or boxed stuff
when you're in a hurry and have unexpected company.

2 can's of sliced carrots, 2 cans of new potatoes, 1 can tomato soup, 12 large or 24 small sausages.

Oven bake the sausages at 200C for 20 minutes, drain the carrots and potatoes and halve the potatoes, put in a saucepan with the soup and heat gently for 5 minutes, add the sausages and simmer for a further 3, then serve. Done.
