Im glad u quit smoking. Well to lose weight u need to eat less, n burn more calories. Try aerobics. Well there's another way, but its unhealthy. I lost weight by sleeping less. U feel ur bone "melting" in ur blood. I know its not advisable, but this is my unique style among others though others still dont agree with this.

Eat raw vegan, eat LOTS, and work walking/running/cycling into your daily routine.
Don't do starvation, you'll just cry and eat chocolate. Or become a freaky pro-ana wannabe (or worse). Either way is bad news.
Whatever, there's no "magic" cure. A little adjustment to diet, with a little adjustment to exercise is way easier that trying to do it all through exercise (too much hard work) or all throigh dier (too soul-destroying)

To lose weight, and maintain a healthy weight, you need to change your lifestyle habits. (Its a fact that people can not maintain a "diet" sooner or later they go back to old habits).
This not only includes what you eat and how often, but incorporating exercise.
A lot of people have success by not eating high carb meals after midday. Remember, carbs are sugar, which converts to fat if not used.
As said previously, reduce portion sizes, but ideally, eat up to 6 times daily. This increases the metabolism.
At least 8 cups of water daily is essential.

Agreed , Depends how much you smoked .. Is smoking maybe 2-3 cig's a day for you better for your body than being over weight?
If not i would suggest all the other things people have put ( apart from drinking loads of water , because that is eating disorder style ) . Altho water is very good for you and you should drink plenty of it , Filling up on water is not good for you as you need food for your body to work properly . I would say mainly CV work out's will help you alot as it will help increase your metabolism .
Another reason to avoid the " water " diet is that your body goes into 'crash' mode and will end up eating your fat reserve's and when you eventualy begin to take fat's into your body , your body will then put then straight back on because it will reserve them . This is a common cause for women and nearly always ends up in the " YO-YO " diet phase. There are many many more reason's why you shouldnt do that but meh google it lol.

drink plenty of water eat 5 or 6 small meals a day .. Have a protein with a smaller ammount of carbs .. Make sure your calorie count is enough for your body and still lose weight ( go to a doctor) Take flinstones vitamins they are the best and cheapest (even for adults ) They are reccomended by doctors who deal with people who need to lose weight . Lay off the sugar and white flour . chew your food , most people dont chew enough . Don't drink pop it has a lot of salt in the diet ones and too much sugar in the non-diet . drink crystal light or water it is better for you.
I know I posted earlier but I added everything that I think someone should do .
