Story: In the few years after the second Death Star's eradication, Luke Skywalker worked on a few arduous tasks. In addition to helping peace returned to the galaxy, he pushed for the Jedi Council to accept any race as a capable Jedi, just so long as the individual is sensitive to the force. Skywalker also restored a Jedi temple and taught there in some peace for many years until his death.
However, because Luke made it acceptable for half breeds and fuck ups to be let in, the Jedi Order slowly deteriorated and became unorganized, allowing the Sith to rise once again.
8023 - The galaxy is now once again in danger of falling under corrupted control, and the Jedi Order fights amongst itself, arguing about which individuals will make a good council.
8024 - Ari'nath Cyvilt is elected as supreme ruler of the galaxy and chief member of the Jedi Council. He quickly sets to work electing a new Council, and only two are actual Jedi Masters.
8026 - Cyvilt's obvious corruptness and incompetence is exposed and small uprisings begin to appear on the outer rim planets.
8027 - Civil war breaks out and many on the Council resign, leaving positions open for actual Jedis. The Sith gains more control and influence, and three Jedis are elected to Council. One of these is a Sith spy.
8030 - The civil war has raged for three years now, but the Rebellion is starting to lose. Cyvilt is now backed by the Sith, and he allows them to thrive as a necessary evil. The council members who oppose this decision--the two legitimate Jedi Masters--are swiftly put to death.
8031 - The Jedi Council now consists entirely of politicians and Sith lords. The Rebellion is nearly out of the picture and the Council is moving for control of the military and all other assets of the galaxy. The outer rim planets gain newfound vigor and separate themselves entirely from the rest of the galaxy, becoming rogue planets. The remaining Rebellion retreats to these planets, and the Council forsakes them, figuring the rogues will die without their help.
8032 - The few remaining Jedi Masters come out of hiding to settle on the planets and begin recruiting Padawans. Jedi Temples are erected, and the Order establishes a strong foothold on the rogue planets. The Council becomes angry and unleashes an attack on one of these planets, but the Rebellion fights back and easily thwarts the attack. Cyvilt is expelled from the Council and dies shortly afterward. More planets begin separating themselves from the Council, and the Rebellion grows.
8033 - The Council is now controlled entirely by the Sith, and so are the planets who are still under Council rule. It becomes illegal for a Jedi to breathe, and sheltering Rebels is an offense punishable by death. The Rebellion and the Jedi Order join forces to put an end to the Sith. An overall supreme ruler is elected to rule the galaxy, the leader of the Sith, Salazan Vantabar.
8034 - The civil war now rages, and the galaxy is split up between The Jedi Rebellion and The Sith Order.
For the sake of intensity, don't make your character a simple footsoldier. Generals and leaders, please. This means that you can be the leader of The Sith Order if you so please. That kind of thing is first come first serve, however, so if someone is already the president of U'snuzuluz, you can't be, too. Characters are defined basically below. If you are to be one of these characters, you will need to fill in additional background information and the sort. Please don't be a lazy ass and say you're the Leader Of Fuckall with no character development.
We like character development.
Character development is your friend.
IMPORTANT CHARACTERSSupreme Ruler Salazan Vantabar: As was mentioned, the leader of The Sith Order and supreme ruler of the galaxy. He's a heartless son of a bitch and thinks of his generals as simple prawns and tools. His age is 51, but he is a skilled wielder of the Force. His sword skills are poor. As with all the other characters, you will decide how he looks.
~In the Sith~
General Viciouston: Salazan's right hand man, also know as the Hound of Hell. His sword skills surpass all the other Sith generals, but he is a bug when it comes to the Force. His age is 29, and he always tries to make Salazan proud. But he doesn't, because Vantabar is a heartless bastard.
General Samantha:Also on the council, Samantha is a very skilled pilot and military strategist. Her sword skills and force skills are balanced very evenly, and both are formidable. Samantha is only 23.
Note: Please feel free to make your own general on either side if the presets don't seem enticing to you.
~In the Rebellion~I HAVE DIBS ON Rebellion Leader Sylvius Litington: Litington is the leader of the Rebellion and a self-taught Jedi. While his sword and force skills are not super insanely good, they are both evenly balanced and he can handle himself. Sylvius makes up for this by being a skilled acrobat and a cunning strategist. One squad under his control can equal two if he plays his cards right, and he usually does. Litington is merely 20 years of age.
General Vyen San'Unda: A tusken raider before Sylvius saw that he had formidable control over the force, San'Unda is the Rebellion Leader's right hand man and closest friend. The two are on a first name basis and for good reason. They have saved each other's lives countless times. San'Unda is, as mentioned before, very strong with the force and very rarely draws his lightsaber. When he does, he can handle himself, but he is much more proficient with the Force. It should be noted that while San'Unda is beneath Litington when it comes to rank, neither of them feel that there is any difference between them anywhere else.
General Liana: Very skilled with a gun and twice as skilled with a lightsaber, General Liana is not in tune with the Force at all. Due to her abilities with a melee weapon, she was given a lightsaber that one doesn't need the Force to wield. Liana is also an impressive mechanic and was known for her high quality prosthetic limbs. If you need one, Liana's your girl. She's 27.
Another note: Remember that you will have to detail the preset character's background story and appearance.
Some differences between the Sith and the Rebellion:
It is mandatory for a Rebel General to lead his men in battle, and while Sith usually don't, it is not unheard of for them to do the same.
Sith play dirty; the Rebellion is all about honor.
The Rebellion takes prisoners; the Sith executes Rebels on the battlefield, even if they have surrendered.
REMEMBER THAT YOUR CHARACTER CAN USE WHATEVER STYLE OF LIGHTSABER HE SO CHOOSES, AND THAT YOU CAN HAVE UP TO THREE FORCE POWERS:
Blue = Jedi Only ___ Red = Sith Only ___ Black = Both Can Use
Force Lightning
Force Choke
Force Deception/Jedi Mind Tricks
Force Cloaking (Makes you invisible to the weak minded.)
Force Blast
Force Maelstrom (A huge, 360 degree force blast that takes time to charge. It exhausts you if you do not have Amplified Force Powers.)
Thrown Lightsaber
Force Dash and Jump (Package deal :D)
Force Arc -see here if you don't know what this is-
Amplified Force Powers*
Amplified Lightsaber Skill*
*If your character uses an amplifying skill, he cannot have both.
Had to edit because it was too long.
