Samsung have actually proven to have the longest and better battery life against all other company's.. even apple are still behind in comparison.
Samsung are the "leaders" of battery tech.

Now in saying that.. going back a few years to the early Samsung model phones including my current galaxy s 1... i have to say the battery sucks.
But these day's... it's the same pretty much for any new "smart phone".. the smarter they get with more specs built in under the hood.. the worse the battery situation gets, but that's where Samsung are pulling through as the current leader...
As they bring out the newer models i.e the galaxy nexus, they have managed to step it up on the battery life tech.
