Clear evidence that marijuana makes you ****ing paranoid. Seriously, what are you on about?

I don't take "family stories" on the internet as fact for obvious reasons. Anyway, if that's true, then I'm glad she's doing better.

Thank you. However, I am not sure what you mean by paranoid. I got offended that you moreless just insulted my intellegence, but most definatly not paranoid.

I was referring to your sudden act of hostility towards me; to me it seemed awfully unprovoked. I just thought I'd quote some of my old posts from back in the day when I argued about for & against marijuana. Thought they might interest you.

Also, don't be so arrogant. You might be intelligent, but you're certainly not all knowing.

I wasn't trying to be arrogant, I don't claim to know everything, but I know a little bit. There is always going to be people for it and against it, so be it. Sorry if you thought I was being a *******.

Yeah, I'm a fellow stoner.. And yes, it would be awesome to have the sh*t legalized BUT..
With everything that's already legalized, notice, taxes.
So, would you rather pay street value or governmental value?
I'd stick to street value, in my opinion..
What Kal said is true. The price of it will increase dramatically if it is legalized, but I do believe that it should be legalized because it's not nearly as harmful as other drugs including alcohol. Go research how many people die a year from alcohol use (drunk driving, drinking too much, etc) and how many people die from Marijuana use.

Marijuana is one of the best medicines in the world for everything from depression and anxiety to AIDS/Cancer. This would seriously but the prescription drug market on the fritz. We have THC and CBC receptors in our brains (proven research), but of course the government(s) aren't going to even acknowledge the existence of a product that they can't make money on.
I agree with most of this, but I don't really believe it should be used for depression because it doesn't help as much as people believe it does for that. It can make your depression more severe.

From what I've heard, less than a fifth of the adult population of the United States has admitted to trying it at least once. However, MOST of the people I know have tried it, and abused several other drugs including LSD and cocaine, which is kind of weird. My 'friends' mustn't be a representative sample of the population.

Like I've said, my political views are center-right. As most of the internet is liberal, I don't like to bring up political issues on this website or anywhere on the web because it starts heated debates and I don't have the energy or time to argue with people I don't know. If it matters, I'm also against same-*** marriage, but I don't ever tell anyone that either.

But once again, welcome to #1 Chat-Avenue Message Boards, S.O.A.D.
I have. I believe you're claiming on your second paragraph that it's a gateway drug? If so, that's not true. The only reason why it's considered a gateway drug is because it's usually the first drug that people buy illegally off of a drug dealer. Drug dealers usually sell other kinds of drugs and they're more likely to be offered some, but they aren't forced to do it. Smoking marijuana doesn't make you wake up one day and be like "Oh! Let's go smoke some crack boys!" if you know what I'm saying xD We could easily blame caffeine for being a gateway drug -.-

With depression it works or doesn't work on a person to person basis. I should have made that clear. Thank you.

Marijuana isn't a damn drug, how many times do we have to tell you. It's a plant, that grows from the ground, etc..
The drugs you all are on about, is the chemicals that get laced with the bud.
And I looooove how people say; "Oh, I've tried pot once. I didn't like the high, so now I'm against it" (If you smoke it alone the first time, or with immature dumb f*cks, yeah you're not going to like the high at all) "Marijuana is the gateway drug to all other drugs" BULLSH*T, just saying.
I've been a pot smoker for over six years, and I have never thought about nor tried any other drugs other than oil, yet, oil originates from marijuana if made proper.

If you's seriously haven't tried it, and are criticizing each other about it..
Go get ten bucks.. Buy yourself a gram.. Get a pipe/bong/rolling papers even.. Sit down, get yourself comfy.. Put a movie or tunes on.. And hit that.
    'Nough said.
Stoner's live and stoner's die, but in the end we all get high.
If in life you don't succeed, f*ck it all and smoke some weed....

    ... Maybe not.

I know. I was just pointing that it doesn't work for everyone. It helps me to be honest. It gives you another perspective on life that's more positive. You'll think outside of the box and think creatively.

It's a herb. But it's classified as a drug in our society if you know what I mean. Oh, and I like the thing you posted at the front. A lot of that is true for me as well.

"Classified as a drug", our Society knows it's a herb, they even call it as it is. They also lie to themselves, without realizing, or on purpose to make others suffer.. I'll give you a quote..

"They lie about Marijuana. Tell you pot-smoking makes you unmotivated. LIE!
When you're high, you can do everything you normally could do just as well.
You just realize, that it's not worth the f*cking effort. There is a difference." - Bill Hicks.

My mother got over breast cancer without weed. There are other methods of treatment. Weed isn't the 'only thing' that's helped her, it's the doctors and the support of family most likely.

    Glad she's doing better, though.

I'm not pro-pot, or anti-pot. I've just bought some and I'll tell you my opinion on it after I smoke it on my birthday. Houston and I had a small conversation about marijuana a few weeks back, and he said that weed isn't dangerous as long as you've got it under control - similar to alcohol which is legal. If you're not careful, both of them can be dangerous. Perhaps not physical damage to your body, but poor choices you make can have a profound effect on the others around you.

Should it be legalized for recreational purposes? People aren't responsible with alcohol, so would they be with marijuana? Maybe if a certain age is required for it. 21 sounds good.

For a German it is even good to have somewhat lengthy words in his mouth, for he thinks slowly, and they give him time to reflect.
