Hello,

In English we are doing a senior project on whatever topic we wish. I am not exactly sure how to start my paper out. It's on nursing. Any suggestions?

Describe the primary work of a nurse. Their importance in the Allied Medicine Industry. Inquire of some nurses why they went into that profession. Do they enjoy it, etc. You may want to discuss the academics involved and time needed to earn a Nursing Degree. Usually it's an A.Sc. program for two years. Some go for a B.Sc. in Nursing. Others go on to earn a Graduate Degree in Nursing, a M.Sc. program totalling six years of University. Those nurses are able to become Nurse Practitioners. They're empowered to have a basic patient load, just as an M.D. does. They do have restrictions in the types of medications they can prescribe and medical procedures they can administer. Good Luck.
