chat room safety

I was directed to this site after a google search for adult chat rooms. Unfortunately i was directed into the video room which i though was for adults. I had no idea that i was in a room that gives access to underage teenagers and of course thought i was chatting with 18+ girls. Thankfully i was kicked out by a moderator. After a flick back through the site and going into the diffrent rooms i was horrified to discover that underage teenagers were present in the rooms. I understand that it is my responsibility to read the fine print and i accept this responsibility, but is there any way that this can be made safer - perhaps bigger writing/ warning as you enter the room? or two completely separate sites for adults and minors with completely different URLs? I am now done with internet chatting and adult forums all togtheer because of this.

yeah i understand this, but when you do a search for adult rooms and get directed to a video chat then it becomes confusing. You would expect teenagers to be in the teenage room, not a live open video chat room. Also i had one person in the adult chat room tell me she was 14, I made it public on the main chat part and told her to get off but she told me that it was a typo - I ignored her but im not sure what happened from there. I asked around what the process was but nobody commented. I would personally like to see completely age limited rooms - i.e rooms for just those above 18 and rooms for those from 13-17 etc. rather than mixed rooms. It was a good thing that i never posted anything explicit anyway - i just asked if any woman wanted an older guy - i can see how that could be a problem in an open chat room and i am glad that the moderator is on the ball. It has however completely turned me off chatroom sites of this nature - i think i'll stick to the rooms on pure adult sites in future.

I would personally like to see completely age limited rooms - i.e rooms for just those above 18 and rooms for those from 13-17 etc. rather than mixed rooms.

kids chat - 13 to 16 only
teens chat - 13-19 only
lesbian chat - 16+
gay chat - 18+

Adult Chat = 18+
General Chat = 13+
Teen Chat = 13 - 19
Kids Chat = 13 - 16
Singles Chat = 16+

The intermingling of juveniles and adults in an anonymous environment like a chatroom is never a good idea, and whoever came up with the idea wasn't thinking clearly. There should be two chat rooms; Teen Chat which will cover 13 to 17 and Adult Chat which covers 18 and up. Anyone under the age of 13 is not allowed on the site per the Terms of Service, so the use of "Kids" chat isn't really necessary. Honestly I never agree to giving minors and adults to intermingle in an environment which is seldomly monitored (mods aren't able to monitor private conversations and most of the time they are hired without respect of what hours aren't covered, only simply on their maturity). I requested long ago for General Chat to be placed back to at least 16 and up... and Singles Chat should be 18 and up because under most laws, an adult over 18 aren't allowed to have a romantic relationship with someone under 18.

It's doubtful any of this will ever happen... as the main reason for this chatroom is for pure profit... (Which doesn't come from minors under 18, btw...)
