Default Scientists predicts: Time might stop completely!

Time might feel like it is running away from us as the pace of life increases

but according to scientists, the future will stop completely.

    T
he theory of time running out was devised by researchers from two Spanish universities trying to explain why the universe appeared to be spreading continuously and accelerating. Observations of supernovae, or exploding stars, found the movement of light indicated they were moving faster than those nearer to the centre of the universe.

But the scientists claimed the accepted theory of an opposite force to gravity, known as dark energy, was wrong, and said the reality was that the growth of the universe was slowing down. Professor Jose Senovilla, Marc Mars and Raul Vera from the University of the Basque Country and the University of Salamanca said the deceleration of time was so gradual, it was imperceptible to humans. Their proposal, published in the journal Physical Review D, claimed dark energy does not exist and that time was winding down to the point when it would finally grind to a halt long after the planet ceased to exist.

The slowing down of time will eventually mean everything will appear to take place faster and faster until it eventually disappears. Professor Senovilla told the New Scientist: "Then everything will be frozen, like a snapshot of one instant, for ever." Gary Gibbons, a cosmologist the University of Cambridge, told the news website RT that the idea was not as absurd as it sounded.

"We believe that time emerged during the Big Bang and if time can emerge, may disappear as well as the opposite effect," he said.

But when you're out there partying, horsing around, someone out there at the same time is working hard.

Someone is getting smarter and someone is winning.

    Just remember that.

There's no way anyone can predict time will stop... since time is used in a very elementary style for chemistry to make some sort of sense... Since physics disproves time... How can it be stopped? :P
I can see that you're not beside me,
but I still feel you shine inside of me..

"Stuck in one snapshot...." Yeah if that those happen and people are still "alive" ..well that will suck a lot ...a lot

No one knows what will happen because there's so much we haven't even discovered yet.
Personally I think people are just shooting theories out of their arses now just for the sake of it and for the sake of putting forward new ideas. (Nothing wrong with that but some of them are so ridiculous)
Although some can make sense and you can see where they are coming from no one will really know.

Holographic Universes, string theory, oscillating theory etc. They're all out there.

    Off-topic:
Once I was sitting on the dinning room table with my mother and I was explaining the "Holographic Universe" theory to her...She then procceeded to pick up a bunch of keys and full force dig a key right into my hand on the table.
    -"Did that hurt?" She said.
    -"WHATTHE****WASTHATFOROMFGTHATHURTTT;____;"
-"Well I guess you're not a hologram then, are you?

Whenever subjects like this come into conversation I always remember that moment.
The age of legends has come to an end, the stories we know, we stand to defend.
And we wish to remember the glorious tales, Of giants and Gods and heroes

A rather interesting article, it's something to think about - especially the idea of 'time'.

I always thought of time as 'vibration of space and matter', or something along those lines. But to halt time...what a mind-blown thought.

-goes to google more of this-
