I would watch soccer, but in the USA, it's never on tv. We have all the football, basketball, and hockey on tv all the time. And Racing, tennis, extreme sports, they allways are on. Never soccer. hmm

well we were lucky to escape with a point against liverpool, :clap thanks to Benitez first sticking Gerrard up front and then bringing him off, he was easily the best player on the pitch and the first half him Alonso and Hamann dictated play Villa didn't perform anywhere near the heights we have reached this season and thats 2 games in a row, and with the big derby game coming up the performances couldn't have come at a worse time

Two changes from the Villa starting line up Luke Moore to start ahead of Carlton Cole (so much for Chelsea wanting him back in January, if he carries on the form of the last 6 games he wouldn't even be playing for West Brom .) Second change Gareth Barry for well anyone, if he doesn't stop going out on the p.iss every night he might actually start performing again

well theres my first post in here and a great idea this thread is, all of birmingham is talking of the big game on Sunday, its only the 5th league meeting in 20 years so the games haven't become a regular occurance so the possibility of yet more violence between the two opposing fans is highly likely, especially with so many rumours about players and fights flying around, my favourite is that Lee Hendrie was the one who beat up Steve Bruce a few months ago because Bruce objected to Hendrie taking a shine to Bruce's daughter

    Thanx for the siggy follow

Liverpool should definitely have had all three points, but I understand why Rafa took Stevie G off. We have a vital game on Wednesday against Olympiakos and we must win to get through. Theres £10 million riding on this game plus we don't want a return to the UEFA Cup so soon. I think its great that Rafa has found a system where he can accomodate Dietmar Hamann, Xabi Alonso and Steven Gerrard. It makes us extremely strong in midfield and can create may goalscoring chances.

All we need now is a top striker to bang in all the chances the midfield create. I think Nicolas Anelka would be best for this. He'd only cost £8 million, he's stated he wants to leave Man City and get Champions League Football to further his career. He's young and a proven premiership goalscorer. Our fans love him, and he loved his time on loan at Liverpool. So why not?

I don't see Carlton Cole going back to Chelsea in January, I don't think he has a future there... and David O'Leary really needs to try and get around this problem where two of his most valuable players are not performing, they already have a small squad and an arse of a chairman/owner or whatever he is (Doug Ellis) needs to loosen his purse strings because a tight chairman just ain't gonna help the club. I back all Villa fans who want him out because he's the one who is stopping Villa from progressing.

This is gonna be a tasty game, I love derbies of any significance, and this is one. Both teams are hardly on form at the moment so its gonna be hard to predict who will emerge the winner from this game.

I'm glad for you that Celtic are out. but don't be disappointed, Hearts and Rangers are still in. Anyway Julius Agahowa did well for Shaktar Donetsk last night.... but it was against a weakened Barca side. Anyway, no UEFA Cup for Liverpool this season, WHAT A COMEBACK! We were 1-0 down at half time to a Rivaldo free kick. We needed to score three goals in the second half to get through.... and we did it! Steven Gerrard scored a beauty. Florent Sinama Pongolle scored just after half time and Mellor scored in the 81st minute before Gerrard did the business. No Hearts v Liverpool for me and you : ... if we did play against you we'd stick about 7 past you at Anfield, no matter what you do at your ground. : Can't wait for the last 16 draw on Friday....
