They chose to do that because our society is so intertwined with technology. Something that they don't like.

As for these segregation schools, they are pointless. As has been pointed out several times, there will always be discrimination against everything. Not everyone will like those whose sexuality differs from their own. It is at high school you learn this, whether be it sexuality, race, the way you look etc. You learn it and deal with it, and before you bring up suicide. Don't you think, instead of dividing people, they should be taught in a normal high school, how to cope with harrassment about anything instead of going, "Oh well, if we seperate them, it will all be fine and dandy." And from personal experience, I know that there is still discrimination from gay people towards bisexual people because they see them as "greedy" or indecisive. So either way you lose. All you can do is build up an emotional defence and learn how to cope with it.

It is pointless because it is basically saying that if you get picked on for being different, then stay with those who are the same so you are safe and protected. Sure they should be safe, but this should be through tolerence of their sexuality. Why do you keep bringing the Amish up? It is a completely different situation, they chose to move away because of the lifestyle the majority of the world lead, fuelled by technology. It is like comparing a worm to a snake.

Also, at the society remark, the majority of society ARE tolernt of those of a different sexuality. Why should they let those who aren't practically bully them into seperate schools. What if this has negative effects on them? The feeling of being isolated because of differences?
And as for you saying blacks and muslims "have to be accepted" does everyone in the world accept them? No they do not but they aren't isolating themselves are they? No, if they are subject to abuse, they deal with it either properly or improperly.

And what stereotype does society have of them? Don't you mean society's abuse? As you have not mentioned a stereotype as far as I can remember.
