Cyborgs.
After years of sci-fi nuts and phony professors claiming they have built a cyborg *part machine, part living tissue* it would appear that someone has actually done it.
It can't do very much and it's incredibly inefficient but it actually does use biological material to communicate with machinery to some practical end. What is it? The brain stem of a bloodsucking fish called a lamprey stuck in an oxygenated salt solution and connected to a robot.
What does it do? Detect light and then turn to face it. If a light shines on it, the brain sends out an electronic pulse. This is sent through a microprocessor which causes the robots wheels to move and face the light source.

How is that any different from VR (Virtual Reality) Technology?
If the definition of a cyborg is to "use biological material to communicate with machinery to some practical end," then everybody with a Nintendo Wii qualifies.
If you want to see cyborgs, look no further than the mechanical apparatuses that injured soldiers returning from Iraq are being outfitted with. Those devices are powered by electrical impulses from the brain.
It wouldn't surprise me if, in the near future, the Armed Forces began equipping our soldiers with such devices prior to battle.
Terminator indeed.

Lol The Terminator is a scary thought but as far as military advancement goes, it would rock. Im actually surprised they dont have the lesser version of that out already.

They did.
Every single one of them could hear the thoughts of all the rest, and that other chick one was the queen.
7 of 9 was hot.
Even with the metal on her eyebrow.
Not like I watch Star Trek or anything.
