Where are mods?

Major problem with flooders and bashers in Gay Chat this evening (Sat., Sep. 15), as has often been the case recently. And once again, there is NO sign of mods in room.

Also it looks like ChatAve has removed the ability to find and PM moderators. There used to be a separate forum page for that, but it's no longer available.

(BTW, that makes ZERO sense. We need FASTER access to mods, not less access. There should be a "HELP" button available in every chatroom.)

Why has moderator coverage been reduced so much? And how are people supposed to contact mods when needed? (As things stand, it appears the management has totally stopped trying to enforce rules, which would be extremely unfortunate.)

I was just in the room, and it is over run with underage people, people flooding, and many other things.

But as for your problem I would recommend you use the block feature of the chat's, the little red strike out circle on the top, select people who are bugging you and click it, it will block them from contacting you.

You might be better off PMing the room admin †°•·RoBBie™·•°† not making a thread.

Good advice jbomb09 on using the ignore feature when no mods are around.

I am sorry that no Moderators were on , but unfortunately mods can't be on on 24/7..
Hopefully things fixed up or a mod came if not I apologise...

they get bored when their is no one to talk to
they just go their cuz some mod is their so they wont get bored...

Thanks for the replies .. but they don't really address my original posting.

@jbomb99 & Robbie: Yes, of course, I have used the "block" feature. But many of the flooders go in and out repeatedly, which overrides the "block".

@Roomiie: I would be glad to PM the admin, but the forum page to do that is no longer available. My inquiry was **HOW** does one send a message to admins or mods, now that the moderators page was removed?

@Robbie: Same point as above -- **HOW** does one contact you (or any of the mods or admins)? And why was the moderator page in the forums removed? BTW, I haven't seen any mods in Gay Chat for days. That chatroom was disrupted for several hours yesterday. I checked there today, and the problem is even worse. (Also, there are also huge #'s of underage persons.)

You can PM any of the mods or the admin from any thread or post they reply to in forums.Simply click the name and go to send a PM then you are ready to PM them.

How are we supposed to know who is a mod or admin? It's my understanding that changes very frequently. And once again .. **WHY** was the mdoerators page in the forums removed? That page allowed us to see who was a mod, and who was online. Now, we have absolutely no idea who has mod privileges, nor who is online. And the idea that we have to search through forums to find a posting from someone (who we think may be a mod) .. just in order to send a PM to that person .. is utterly bizarre.

It's bad enough that moderator presence has been reduced. But it's just astonishing that the system has been revised to make it so much more difficult just to contact a mod.

It certainly looks as if ChatAve management is trying hard to shut down any opportunity for users to register complaints. I hope that's wrong, but I don't see any other way to interpret these changes.

I know forums was down for hours then the mod page was gone. But like I told you in PM I did read somewhere it will be returned. But I don't know when. I also suggested you try to PM Chatmaster with your concerns.
