Well, Princess' totally sucks. The text is hanging out of the canvas, making it look bad. And his stock isn't even blended. And the background sucks.
Overall = BAD.

C'mon, Jon. I'm sure you can critique a sig without haven't to say that it "sucks".
When you posting your entry?

I don't have to, but that's what comes to mind.
Whenever I feel like making a sig.

I think the text in Jon's throws the whole sig off.

I'd like to comment on how SOTW is now run.
Tiesto, you're being kind of a Nazi with all the threads you've been creating.
I understand that criticism should be constructive, but not everything is going to be positive, sometimes things really do just suck. And if that's someone's opinion, you need to be open to that. People will vote how they see fit, if it's because they think one signature "sucks," you can't change the votes just because you don't think it was an appropriate critique.

Changed votes? I've never changed any votes.
And you must have misread my Comments and Criticism thread, or something. I never said that EVERYTHING has to be 'positive'.
Telling someone that their signature "sucks", is NOT appropriate critique, therefore I do not tolerate it.
If you don't like how it's being run, then fair enough. But I won't be changing anything just because one person disagrees with the way I run things.

Man, you just won't listen.
You have to listen.
If someone says something sucks because whatever, you have to listen.
If someone says you're being overly strict, you have to listen.
That's constructive criticism- I'm saying what's wrong and how to improve that problem.

In this type of forum, strictness must exist. Immature critique can hinder a person's confidence as an artist -especially when too much of it arises.
And I think you'll find that it's the other way around. Because I do listen. I'm listening (lol) to you saying that if someone says that a person's signature / design "sucks", then it's considered to be constructive criticism. I'm sorry, but I find that rather hilarious.
If someone posted such a comment like that on a well established art community or website, they'd get in trouble; perhaps a severe warning. Their posts / comment would undoubtedly be deleted, too.
Imagine someone walking into an Art Musuem, look at a painting, and go: "That sucks! The colouring sucks altogether; not to mention the composition. I also think that the execution is crap". Do you think that's enough for an artist to acknowledge?
IT IS NOT CONSTRUCTIVE.
I couldn't care less if it's a person's opinion. But simply stating that their signature "sucks" is completely and utter disrespectful. They should keep those kind of comments to themselves.
The word in itself is pathetic.
And by the way, are you even aware of what's been going on in the Graphics Forum for the past couple of weeks? No? Didn't think so. Do you even fully understand the intentions and the purpose behind the new rules that I've set? Of course you don't. Do you take part in the SOTW? No, didn't think so. How many times have you even treaded into this section of Chat Avenue's forums? Not much, right?
