For those who have been married, or are getting married

There are so many different ways to make a proposal special. How were you proposed to? How did you propose? If you haven't been engaged, how would you want your significant other to propose? Or, how would you propose?

i dont really plan on getting married, but as long as its a sincere moment i think its pretty good. my sister was propsed to through a bathroom door and we never let my brother in law live that down.

i think theres an expectation that it has to be some amazing thing, but seriously if youre in a commited relationship and talking about marriage already it shouldnt be a shock.

I knew it was coming. I was taken out to dinner, we had our meal. (I still remember those Garlic Prawns

) and we asked to take the champagne glasses with us. He took me to the beach where he poared us a glass of crap something and drank in the blowing breeze with the sand flying up my nose. He then dropped to one knee produced a ring and asked me to marry him. Looking down at him I had a few thoughts running through my head.
1) I wish I was drunk
2) Crap
3) I spose I better answer him

So I said yes. We had the champagne glasses mounted on some marble which he later smashed in a fit of temper.

For some that may have been their ideal proposal. For me it lacked meaning and romance. I also detest someone dropping to their knee to propose.

I cant say how I would want to be proposed too except to say I want it to be a moment with the right meaning behind it and it would be nice if it was a surprise.

Im pretty sure it was the only time we went out to dinner together.

At the moment I dont plan on gettin married anytime soon......
Havent found the special someone I want to spend my life with.
If I was proposed to I would want it to be special..
I would want the guy to use his imagination and make it a proposal I would never forget...

I had dreamed of a romantic proposal... I was given my ring in a Burger King Drive-thru

He said he needed change and it was in a small box in his jacket pocket, asked me to get it.. and when I opened it there was the ring

I was proposed by my ex singing pretty women and then asking me to marry him in front of everyone.....

If I had to do over again...I would probably want something a bit more romantic and alone....

well my first hubby went suppose i better make an honest woman of u,as i found i was pregnant.

second hubby went down on one knee in my kitchen slid ring on my finger and said 'will u marry me' been married 14 years now
