Are We Now Pandering to Paedophiles?

This guy was given a 10 month prison sentence for downloading child pornography. Some of the images were said to be those depicting torture. His defence? Well he reckons he was researching for a script he was writing. Conveniently he also stated he had been a victim of child abuse. Yeh that old chestnut when you get caught doing something wrong.

This morning I turned on the tv and there he was on Sky News (top story) whining and wheedling his way back into the public domain. Simply put, why is a paedophile now more or less glorified/excused and shoved into our living rooms by the media? This sends out a signal to all other pedos, that you can download child pornography and still escape a long prison sentence. No wonder majority of people have no faith in the justice system and accuse many sitting on the benches of being pedos themselves.

i totally agree we live in a sick and twisted world now where the law doesnt stand for much these days.....whether he was researching or not does not give him the right to look up child pornography that is totally wrong and he was sentenced for that but think of the pedophiles that are never caught and have been abusing kids for yrs they never get caught this world is ****ed up

Initially I was just reading and researching this and found myself just asking random questions. What was investigated from his computer? Did the evidence found within his computer match up to exactly what he was saying? Was it even thoroughly investigated? If he was "researching" was there anything to prove that at all? Supporting documentation? And what kind of "research"?
But then I went on reading other articles ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Langham) and it says he was "researching" for a character that he was going to play. Excuse me but when did being a Pedo become humourous? Then in my mind he fkt up his story when he said he was looking at them to "work through" his own issues.

Cat sadly enough, nowadays it seems you can have a bit of fame and a bit of fortune and get away with pretty much anything as long as you are in the spotlight and can come up with a good sob story. I dont think we are pandering to the Paedophiles just the more famous ones.

This may be a stupid questions and I've asked it before and no one can ever give me a answer. What host allows child porn to be put on the internet?????? Why is it even out there for??? Is there no way to stop it???

It seems if like there would be a way to prevent it from being put online and stopping some of the pedo activities... like this dirtbag using the excuse that he was doing research for a story he was writing???

i think its a good question red!
i dont know why they allow porn run rampant either
but i do feel like cat too.
they glorify school shootings and bank robbery ect.
and then a bunch of copy cats take the plunge
when someone threw rocks off a bridge onto cars below
they glorified that in the news too
now every year someone does the very same thing
this year a girl had a pumpkin smashed at her windshield
they should stop showing the car crashes and bodies
that can be seen in these news casts!
they should consider the family! and how they will feel
seeing therye loved ones on t.v.
its a crummy world for sure, but i know we can do better!

its just a sick thing period.. porn is everywhere on the net so much so all u have to do isaccisently type the word *** and i can almost guarntee youll get something popping up.. the problem is the internet is a worldwide outlet so people in different countries are free to do what they want . we need some international ban on all porn. but we all know that will never happen..its just a sad thing that the human race has evovled to this point.

I kinda got to disagree on banning all porn.... I see nothing wrong with porn as long as it is made with all people over the age of consent which is 18 to make XXX films here in the USA. Since age of consent seems to change from country to country, there needs to be some set age all across the board. People that get caught making such films with underage people should also have some kind of very steep penalty given to them like imprisonment for 25 years or castoration. I have a issue with children having their childhood ripped away and put into these kinds of movies....it makes me sick and maybe the thought of a pedo having his willy chopped off, might make him think twice from making a movie like that....

cutting off a guy **** will not stop pedophilia they can still touch a child and still make them do stuff they wouldnt give a **** if they were castraited the only way to do it is to cut there hands off they use to do that in other countries for **** and stuff

I was talking about that would be the penatly for the people that made these movies or allowed them to be put on their sites...I'm sure that might be a good deterant for them not to do it I guarentee if they aired a man getting his willy chopped off or even his hands, as you suggested, on National TV, it would make a pedo either seek professional help or think twice before he touched a child.
