Massive Ice Storm
Just a hello to all of those who went through the recent ice storm that brought all the damage to Oklahoma and Kansas. Where I live there were over 200,000 people without power. It was surrealistic hearing those cracks and dodging the tree branches falling down upon you. It was another week before Cox and other providers could fix all the cable problems. What I need is all of you guys and gals who have working chainsaws come over for a tree trimming party. Beer and grilled hot dogs and hamburgers will be served.

Okay thanks but I do need a few strong sorts with chainsaws. When we bought this house there were four fully grown bradford pear trees there. I did not like them and secretly wanted to get rid of them maybe putting a large shade tree in back and maybe a Japanese Maple in the front of the yard. we bought a gas wall heater and a small generator mainly to keep the fridge and the computer running. I also bought a propane cook store.

I feel for the ones that went through this, and I recently heard some power still wasn't restored as of Christmas day... I am not in Oklahoma nor Kansas, but outside of Kansas City, we got hit hard to just not as bad as those in Kansas, Oklahoma and St. Joseph...damn tree limb fell on my carport and caved it in on my truck.. That was alot of ice, and so much damage was done all around....

With a little ole Craftsman 18 inch gas power chainsaw and a pole saw me and the Mrs. are half way done. You can no longer see the house from the street. If any of you are thinking of planting Bradford pears and I know they are lovely when they bloom come look at what they look like after a little bit of ice. Any one need fire wood?
