something has just dawned on me... recently i have been
observing arguements for and against gay forums...

... and this is in no way aimed at any one single person .....

why it should be removed, kept, revamped, how its gone downhill ...
well peeps i have a possible answer... choose any thread within glb forums,
any random thread , about anything, and what do you see ???

all you see is posts by various mods arguing after mebbe one or two posts...

.... try it .. count the mods posts against member posts, you will prolly
find one or two or even three member posts, all the rest are from mods
swiping and picking about each other....

..go on give it a go, pick a thread and tot it up....

.... theres where its going wrong, it gets so boring watching the same ppl saying the
same things about each other, which is why in my worthless opinion
ppl cant be arsed with glb any more ...

Thats basically because.....all of the people that post in here either go to Gay Chat or they are friends with people that go to Gay Chat.

Nothing ever gets posted in here because stuff like; "how was your day?" or "What makes you mad?" gets move to test, General..or some other forum.

People are constantly trying to strict this forum down to actual posting of Gay Topics..and not many people actually care.

Us, as regular chatters, don't talk just about gay things in Gay Chat. We talk about everything.

Its like a General Chat room for the Gay Community.

This forum would actually BE popular if threads like that were allowed.

Granted the name of the forum IS Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual, but its a discussion FOR GLB. It don't say; "In this forum, you'll be talking ONLY about GLB related stuff."

Thats just what the Forum Mods/UM say.

But hey, thats just my two cents.

two cents it was too ty hun

but i think you missed my point, that any thread regardless of content
becomes a mod/um slagging match.. hence boring ppl and sending them
to other forums..

Oh..sorry..well I'll address that issue as well.

Here lately its just been about Aquilla and his wrong doings.

If you read in Everything Else Forum and as well as the threads in here, you'll see why its a Mod fight.

And honestly, its the most attention this forum has recieved in a while.

But, just like it always has been, if you ignore the fights it goes away. Or, you can do whats recommended and report the mods to their Admins and let the Admins handle it.

Its actually a rule that Mods aren't supposed to fight with each other, we're all a team of regular users.

But it should be kept in PM.

Ooo, I was talking in general. I know you haven't moved a thread that actually didn't need it. I was talking about before you were hired.

Now, I will ask this, are these threads allowed to be posted in here? It would make this forum a LOT more popular. But hey, thats up to you, aquackface and the UMs.

Well REALLY those threads are sposed to be kept in the games forum, but I wouldn't see the harm in one or two.

it's up to the other moderators as well, but i'd be ok with it.

Hun, they will be here till the day all of us finally get sick of thsi site and never come back and a new generation of people will come and invade this site and deal with the same things we deal with here.

Well, in the beginning of any thread, I see the thread taking its course and actually not being spammed. It is when you get to the second, third, and forth pages that you see people spamming, arguing, and ranting about how unfair the chatrooms are or how unfair the administration is. It is getting rather ridiculous at this point. To see people argue like a bunch of baboons on a daily basis was sure not the intentions CM and Admin had when they first created these forums.

I know. People tend to think I argue with everyone because of the posts that I make, but they are not ranting posts nor argument posts. They are posts from my mind. I tell only what I see and that is that. I do not like to argue with stupid people and people that just waste my time. I only like to debate on matters/issues. I am unsure as to why many mods argue with each other about someone elses post(s), but I think there is more to the arguments then just a simple post.

It is true. I am not denying it at all. I am unsure why the mods do not get along with each other. Even though alot of mods here mod different things or different rooms, does not mean that we are still not a team. It is sad, but oh well. I even enter some chatrooms just to say hi to some mods while they are on and I see them arguing with other mods in the room in front of chatters. Cursing, ranting, threatening all in the main room. Now if you ask me, that is crazy. I think all that should be settled in pm.

I need not to because I already see it and have seen it for the past 2 and half years, but it has never been as bad as it now.

I understand exactly what you mean. In GBL forum, it is always the same threads created by the same guy (Aquilla) and it is always rants and disagreements about the mods of the room. It does get broing after a while and that is the main reason why everyone wants this forum to go. It has run its course and I do not see it getting any better anytime soon. But in my time being in these forums, I have yet to see Chatmaster remove one forum because everyone is getting tired of it. I doubt anything will happen to this forum, but I do hope that someone can get this place back to how it used to be, fun and enjoyable to read.

Wonderfully written and good observations. I am always happy to post in your threads because they actually mean something and are not threads that are just a bunch of riff raff.

I must admit, whenever I see a thread tht has loads of pages and replies I tend NOT to go in2 it, as it would take far too long to read and would only end up annoying me, not only tht, I only ever post anything when I have something I think is more of a contribtion, tho I have been known to vent a little anger at 1 or 2 ppl in the past, tho, again, I try to keep tht to a minimum also, as in reality, it serves no purpose, and gets other peoples backs up.

As to the mods, by and large, they do a decent job, even if some don't like wht they do or stand for, both here in forums AND in all of the rooms, not just GC.
