Stir fried chicken recipe
information
Calories per serving: 350
ingredients
30 g (1 1/4 oz) Chinese thread egg noodles
1 teaspoon sesame or vegetable oil
250 g (9 oz) prepared stir fry vegetables (e.g. spring onions, pepper, carrot, broccoli, mange tout peas, mushrooms)
75 g (2 3/4 oz) skinless, roast chicken breast, sliced into strips
1/4 teaspoon ready prepared 'fresh' root ginger
1/4 teaspoon ready prepared 'fresh' Garlic
1 teaspoon ready prepared 'fresh' coriander or parsley
1/4 teaspoon Chinese five spice powder
1 tablespoon light soy sauce
salt and freshly ground black pepper
chopped fresh coriander or parsley, to garnish
method
1. Soak the noodles in boiling water for 6 minutes, or according to the pack instructions.
2. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a non stick wok or large frying pan. Add all the vegetables and the chicken. Stir fry over a high heat for 4 - 5 minutes. The vegetables should remain crisp, crunchy and colourful.
3. Drain the noodles thoroughly. Add them to the wok with the ginger, garlic, coriander or parsley, five spice powder and soy sauce. Stir fry for 1 - 2 minutes more to heat everything thoroughly.
4. Season the stir fry with salt and pepper. Serve on a warmed plate, garnished with fresh coriander or parsley.
Top tip You can buy small jars of ready prepared fresh ingredients such as ginger, garlic and herbs -so handy for small quantities. Once opened, they can be stored in the fridge for up to six weeks.
Variation Use your choice of stir fly vegetables.
Serves 1.

Anyone that knows me...knows I love a good Mexican dish. This one is a little higher in calories as far as low fat eating, but a nice healthy alternative to eating out at a resteraunt that could cost you a 1000 calories a dish...here we go
Fat: 12.5 g
Carbohydrates: 80.1g
Calories: 519.6
Protein: 25.3g
(calories based on per serving)
Introduction:
Half of the beans are finely chopped to give the filling a thick, creamy consistency. This dish can be made up to 8 hours in advance and chilled; just bring it back to room temperature before baking.
Ingredients:
1 (7-ounce) can chipotle chiles in adobo sauce
1/2 cup reduced-fat sour cream
1 (15-ounce) can black beans, rinsed, drained, and divided
1 cup frozen whole-kernel corn, thawed
4 (8-inch) flour tortillas
Cooking spray
1 cup bottled salsa
1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded Monterey Jack cheese
Preheat oven to 350°.
Remove one chile from can. Chop chile. Reserve remaining adobo sauce and chiles for another use. Combine sour cream and chile in a medium bowl; let stand 10 minutes.
Place half of beans in a food processor; process until finely chopped. Add chopped beans, remaining beans, and corn to sour cream mixture.
Spoon 1/2 cup bean mixture down the center of each tortilla. Roll up tortillas; place, seam side down, in an 11 x 7-inch baking dish coated with cooking spray. Spread salsa over tortillas; sprinkle with cheese. Cover and bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
Yield: 4 servings (serving size: 1 burrito)

should this be merged with tony's?
they're both for healthy recipes
oh, does anyone go through and try these new recipes?
i haven't for any of these threads
i was just wondering if i was the only one
i tried some stuff that people suggested in a thread after me asking for advice, but that's because i asked for it
it just seems like we have so many recipe threads, but it's more for people posting just to post

His thread was just asking if people would like one or not..there was no receipes posted in that one..... the other reciepe thread was about regular foods... there is a difference. I don't wannna have to dig through receipes looking for that one that doesn't have the calories and is in the carb range that is needed.

i didn't bother to read more than the first post in his
i figured people would end up using that one
really though, how likely is it that you're going to try tony's recipe?
oh, and i'm not sure if you guys are doing this, but don't just post recipes you've found on the internet for low cal or whatever "healthy" foods unless you've tried them yourself or you know someone has had success with them
lol @ low fat apple pie

well that came outta nowhere, but if you want to criticize my threads...
my threads have been about specifics (other than under the influence) that people will find helpful for specific things
i'm just kinda annoyed that this forum turned into a post-a-random-recipe-that-we-found-online-athon
