***, Lovers, but never friends

I have serious problem that has brought on a few years loneliness. Every gay man I meet only wants to be my lover but not my friend. *** is easy to get for me as well as lovers but what I really need in my life is some true friends. I'm told by gay men, straight women, and even some straight men that I'm "handsome, good looking, and attractive." Gay men I've met use the words "beautiful and adorable." This has made it impossible to make true friends. The only option given to me has been lover or nothing. What I'm looking for is the friend option and I can't get it. What the hell should I do??? Please help!!!

Unfortunately this happens a lot, but in many ways ya have to stop and think as to what you do yourself when you get involved with people.

Do you like the idear that you find s e x is easy for you to get coz that in it self says a lot about you, and lovers as if ya saying ya grts plenty so in a way may be you should stop and think well im not going to think that way im out to make some friends and wont give into the s e x thing.

What you need in my opinion is to find someone that will respect you for who you are and to enjoy each others company and to have fun and trust.theres a simple answer to all of this if ya want a friend i suggest that ya find someone that wants a friendship and not want just what ya gotta offer lover wise.

True friendship is all about trust ,respect, fun , and enjoying each others company and bieng there for each other because at the end of the day once you find that special person they will be ya partner-lover-soulmate and friend.
if thats what ya looking for.

Friendship doesn't have ANYTHING to do with gender, or race or even sexual orentation. You just gotta meet people that have the same general interest as you. Like to read? Join a book club. Try looking in your local paper for mixers and meetings of things you enjoy.

Ignore the remark about prince charming.... we all know thats a fairy tale. Its all about who you an stand to look at day after day without putting poison in their coffee.

I never used prince "charming", just prince. Sure it might be a fairytale to some, but other see that as their dream coming true when they can find their love or the one for them that they know they can spend the rest of their lives with.

yeah but the kid doesn't seem to want to be looking for THAT one... just wants some friends... like a homeless guy wants a house... not a box...

i'm so tired of hearing how you'll just know when you meet the right one or... its your best friend and you just fall for each other slowly over time its all so magical..... bullshit. if the sex is good and you can stand their habits.... thats as good as it gets.... there is no ONE person ment for just ONE other person... if that were true... there would be no devorcing.... then again... you're young... and full of bullshit ideals.... we all were...then reality sinks in.

Hey, I may be younger than you, but I know exactly of what you speak. I give people friendly comments/advice to make them feel better or give them an idea of what they may want in life or with someone. You are most certainly right about the "no ONE person for another ONE person" thing. It is very true. I just do not want to tell people that because after all, people do have minds of their own and make their own choices and have their own views in things and me saying things like that to people (to me) is chaning their perception of things and I just do not want to do that. I am not sure if you know what I am talking about or if it makes sense to you, but in my mind it makes perfect sense.
