Homophobic Homosexuals ?

Okay this got me thinking the other day , i called somebody a 'queer ' yesterday and in return they called me a 'homophobe'

....and i was like ' If only you knew '

so anyway , Is it possible for gay people to be homophobic towards other gay people ? Does it happen ?

I've always thought that when straight acting/looking people say bad things about these 'queen' types , it's like a mild form of homophobia, Soooo me not liking Queens and flamboyant ladyboys , does that make me homophobic ?

hell can you even be racist towards your own colour too ? well I've heard of black people picking on other blacks because there skin is lighter & etc.

It's just something that had me thinking the other day , I mean i wonder if anybody has ever been charged of homophobia , and they themselves are gay too .

I've known homophobic homosexuals, they're usually people who aren't happy with their sexuality and they lash out at those who display it openly. Don't get me wrong they weren't "In the closet" as such, they just didn't make a fuss about it, yet they hated people who did make a fuss about it.

I'm a homophobic homosexual.

But it's not because I'm unhappy with my sexuality; mostly it's because gays nowadays are freaking queens, and with one's like Aquilla .. well, I can't resist temptation to not bash him for being a screeching poof.

I dun like the drama queens either and yes gays are homophobic to in some cases,

But im happy with my sexuality always will be

. as i said dun like drama queens or guys in dresses but hey thats my opinion.

Are you sure your friend is straight? Seems weird for a straight person to call somebody a homophobe. Then again, maybe it was all in jest.

I don't think genuinely gay people who have accepted their sexuality can be homophobic. It just doesn't make any sense.

But I do think some gay people who are struggling with their sexual preference pretend to be homophobic so that suspicion doesn't fall on them. But that's not really homophobia, that's just overcompensating. Just like kids who are beaten up at home will overcompensate for their feelings of inferiority by bullying other kids at school.
