OUT – I AM COMING OUT

It all sounds so easy, it is not is it.

Coming out probably may involve a major change in the status of family relationships, at least to start with.

If you are very lucky, most will just say, always thought you was gay, that statement in itself will open even more questions and self doubt within you.

Fact is, COMING OUT is never going to be an easy transition, however it is achieved.

WHY COME OUT

You don’t have to at all, and why should you.
Your life is yours, and you have a right to privacy.
If you are happy to remain in the so called closet, all power to you.
Fact is many want to be open to family and friends.
Sexuality to many is a journey of personal self doubt, that may include many of your friends and family, though they will never admit this., if you are sure why be part of it.
You do not have to come out at all, but by doing so, you remove all the lies you have to make at certain times, you are free to be you.
Suicides levels amongst gays that have not come out are at astonishing levels.
Declaring being gay is just you declaring your sexuality that’s all, then you can get on with being a vibrant innovative part of your community .
An astonishing number of gays ( Generic Term) have made a great contribution to society as a Gay/Lesbian/Bi-Sexual person, and have inspired others onto greater things, gays need mentors.

WHY NOT COME OUT
You just don’t want to, and that’s fine, but make sure you are happy.

Threats of violence, and that’s understandable.

Family are very religious, and I am, fine, but there are help chat sites so you can at least chat to peeps in a similar situation, and get help comfort and support. Most importantly peace of mind.

GAY IS GAY
Gay is Gay, whatever your situation, there is some one to talk to on the net, to offer you advice and support.

DON’T BE ALONE

Chances are your mother probably already knew you were gay. Mothers are like that.......they know all.

And as far as I'm concerned a mother will love their son/daughter regardless of whether they're gay or straight, so long as they learn to respect their bodies and not just go hump anything and everything.

Coming out benefited me heaps.
It brought me closer to my family; as they realised I trust them with everything.
It brought me closer to my friends.

Not gay, but as an Athiest I went through something very similar. I think it's admitting anything that a part of you is against the status quo in general.
