Low Fat Options
Ok, so with most of the figure conscious northern hemisphere trying to get slim for summer, and of course the growing obesity epidemic across MEDCs there are low fat options for pretty much any food.
Some taste great, some taste awful so I thought we could review and discuss whats nice and whats not.
Recently I've been trying to lose weight so I've been trying obviously I've been trying to cut fat out my diet.
Laughing Cow Light
This I really like, great for something to nibble on when you fancy a snack. I spread one triangle over three, although I could probably spread it over more, Jacobs low fat crackers (which are also pretty nice). Really yummy, I'd recommend it.
Sainsbury's Be Good to yourself less than 3% fat Tikka cooking sauce
I picked the jar up off the shelf and it looked like baby food. 'Looks aren't everything I thought to myself' so I bought one jar and decided to give it a go.
Thank God I only bought one jar. I cooked half a jar with some chicken breasts, it tasted so so bland. I ended up heating up some of my other tikka sauce and pouring that over what I'd already cooked, it added some flavour but I still didn't fancy finishing the whole plate. I chucked the rest of the low fat sauce out. Thumbs down for this one.

This is probably a particular brand that you can only get in Canada, but I discovered a fat free brownie mix that TASTES as good as fatty brownies...I never knew they could taste so good....I always buy these now. The brand is NO PUDGE fat free brownies
http://www.expotv.com/videos/reviews...Brownies/81958
to me they are much more delicious then she makes them out to be

Since I've been on my weight reduction program, I have added in a lot of fruits like oranges, bananas, and baked potatoes. They are all very high in pottasium and other key nutrients that I need for healthy weight loss. I have also been eating a lot of whole grain unprocessed rice and black and brown beans. I have put into my diet organic raised chicken and eggs. As far as low fat processed foods go,I love Orville Redenbacker's low fat kettle corn single serving 100 calorie packs . and slim fast Trail Mix bars
Fast food and eating out, I have tried Taco Bell's Fresco menu which is very tasty but VERY high in sodium and I have tried Applebee's Weight Watchers Menu. I've found that anything I eat out that is in my caloric range normally is super high in sodium, so I really try to make it at home

Orville's also makes cheddar cheese flavored rice cakes. Omg they're so awesome. I eat those when I get bored with Chex Mix.

ive found in the past that the best way to lose weight is to simply eat a healthy breakfast, healthy lunch and a healthy dinner. treat yourself with junk once a week. It worked wonders for me. Just eat what you need to survive and get nurishment. eat when you feel hungry, stop when you feel full. that kinda thing.

lowfat food tastes like poo
i gave up on trying to eat it and leaned more towards food that didn't need a low fat option

The Laughing Cow Light cheese, is really good. I get the one with garlic in it.
If anyone likes cheese, like to put on crackers or just to pop a few little pieces in your mouth try: Cabot Vermont 75% Reduced Fat Sharp cheese. I really enjoy it. I LOVE cheese too!!

Craving french fries?
get you a cookie sheet pan and spray some non stick Pam on the pan. Then take a potatoe and slice it and put it on the pan. Then, to add a little extra something to it, add a few springles of garlic or your favorite herb. Let them cook for about 12-20 minutes at about 420.
Do you love ketchup but hate all the sugar?
Try using an organic ketchup. Most places sell it now including Walmart and it's only about 0.25 cents more than the regular. You will be suprised at how less sugar the organic has in it than the regular
How about a big juicy hamburger?
Get a pack of Lean Turkey meat, and throw it on the grill along with some seasoning like garlic/herbs/ oragano. Get you some "veggie soy cheese" or lowfat cheese and pop it on the meat when it's finished cooking. Next, Merita breads make a nice 80 calorie wheat bun. For extra zing, you can even toast your buns too! Next, put some condiments on your bun, throw your meat on there with the veggie cheese and get your baked potatoe "fries" and you have a wonderfull healthy meal of around 500 calories and without all of the sodium

I misspoke here. They're actually popcorn cakes (yes, as in made from popcorn). They're delish.
