Pride at younger ages?
Whilst Modding Kids it's not rare;
That a 13 - 16 openly-gay kid would enter the chat.
What I can't figure oiut, is how these very young kids can be so openly about it.
Is it the fact that societies views are changing and therefore they're more open?
Or are they just unaeare of the ridicule they could potentially recieve?
The thread is just to re-assure myself, that at ages of 13, we weren't all extremely open about our sexuality.
Which brings me to my question..
When did you all grow so open about everything?
I for one didn't openly consider myself Homosexual to society until I was 15.

Years are passing by and believe it or not Moshi, times are changing from what they used to be.

It is not they they are unaware of the ridicule that actually does exist, but they are aware that homosexuality is MUCH more accpeted than it used to be. I remember many of my "closet gay" friends being scared to death about coming out in highschool because they felt they were going to get beat up for being gay. Now a days, more and more kids step up and come out because they feel comfortable and feel that they can. Times are changing. Everyone in today's society is being more truthful to themselves and more accepting of other people's beliefs and or preferences.

I was openly gay to everyone I knew at the age of 13. I have strong will power and really could care less what people thought of me.
What is funny is, after I did come out, everyone in my school and in my family loved me more for being truthful to them and for respecting and being courteous to a person's specific boundary line. I was friends with the football team, soccer team, basketball team, etc. Most of them were straight and they liked me so much because even though I was gay, I showed them respect and showed them that I knew not to cross certain lines.

It's the internet and people will profess to being or doing things that they'd never admit to in real time. And unfortunately the big problem with what people post in the room is we have no guarantee it's the truth. That 13 year old may well be a 20 year old, and finds it amusing to log into chatrooms stating they're gay. Then again it could be a real 13 year old, saying they're gay/bi purely for the attention/laughs etc.
In the room I'm a hooker with a habit, who trawls for low dirty s.ex with anyone over the age of 75.
Frankly if ever I'd had a child who was confused/gay/bi and they were 13/14, having them log into a gay chat room would be the last thing I'd ever want them to do. Kids no matter what their sexuality are easy prey to undesirables.

Frankly, i don't think half of them are even that smart; to use another sexuality to hide their age.. In Fact, you'd be surprised how many come online under their real ages; Or even better, PM me with their real ages I knew for a fact my mum and dad didn't want me associating with Gays online when I first came out.. [which evidently led to me being forcely removed from the site] Hence, how I find it so weird that little gays are so open. Maybe it's out of envy. Idk.

Everybody has Pride.
I agree with Cat saying people could say it to act stupid and whatnot, or just profess to be gay for sh its and giggles.
But some are genuine, and the net is an easy escape to be yourself, little knowing that it's also a gateway for paedophiles. That make sense?
I've always had Pride. Gosh, I was at Gay Pride in Glasgow last week. Some of the people parading in the street with tight boxers on.. omg. I could never do that. And they were the butchest f ags I've ever seen.
Where'd you get envy from? (Shall reply later, off to work)

Evious possibly due to how late I was, in opening-up.
and how these kids are capable of opening up so early.

It seems to me that Homosexuality is very acceptable in todays society and getting more and more so all the time. just look at TV and the movies there full of gay people.
There's still some idiots out there who go off about it but that kind of thinking is on its way out. My personal experience is that its the homophobes, the racists, and all the other folks trying to push their values or ideas on others who are shunned in society. Ive seen Tyra Banks and Montel Williams both go off on people about it and they do represent popular culture.

It needs to happen sometime. I came out at 13 to everyone, but with my friends I came out at 11. I was never attracted to boys, not even in movies. Just something I knew, I never thought I was any different until I realized nobody was talking about girls. My family knew beforehand, I would've climbed trees with boys before ever touching a pink sock. I never played tea, I'd play videogames and go on conquests in my backyard with the neighbor's boys. My family was against my coming out simply BECAUSE I would have (and did) recieve(d) hate-crimes. I didn't want to pretend anymore, so beginning of freshman year I was out to everyone.
Society's not getting any better, guys. They just pretended homosexuality didn't exist, but now they're fighting it. In the United States, at least.
