Whereas what you wrote was well said, I don't completely agree.

There are many parent and child bonds that are broken, the love erased because of something irrevocable and awful having taken place.
The same goes with the animal analogy ... there are so many cases where the animal trusts the person who is there to care for it and that person abuses them, mistreats them and makes the life of the animal a living hell. That animal then becomes untrusting and scared of people.

I don't believe love is unconditional. There are always conditions, even if they aren't spoken, even if they are common sense in some cases, they are still conditions.
