Gay/Straight friendships

Im straight but over the past 10 years Ive developed some really close friendships with gay guys and lesbians.. I dont see many other straight ppl hanging out with my gay friends ..

Is it odd that I have gay friends or is it normal to not really care

I don't know about everyone else;

But most of my Guy-friends at this time are straight..
and very much so.

In fact, i have barely any gay-friends.

My best friends are all straight..
and they are as accepting as anyone else I spose.

When I was an apartment manager in Dallas I met a couple of gay men and I became friends with one of them. When I talked to him it was just like talking to another woman. We would talk about cooking, flowers, house plants and a lot of other stuff.

Haven't met any gay women.

It's normal.
A lot of my straight friends are female, infact if not all friends of mine are female.
Males won't hang with me, because I've been told by a few of them that I hit on everyone too much, and that I'm such a flirt, they don't know how they'd react if I hit on them.
Like, please. It's not as if they're nice looking... but I didn't say that. I laughed.

I really don't have many gay male friends anymore, it gets too complicated.

And as for lesbians...I just can't relate with them on some levels and the friendships seem to stay very shallow.

Nope, I don't think it's weird at all. In fact, if I'm allowed to stereotype, most of the gay people I know are much more fun than the straight ones. Maybe it's something genetic or whatever.
