What do you think of people who get on cam?

Ok, this is my first thread but I guess I just wonder how everyone feels about this subject-since forums seems to touch on everything else...

I was asked the other day to go on cam (which I don't have one becuase I feel like I have too much respect for myself), now this wasn't a request for just "lets talk on cam" this person wanted me to get "frisky on cam" . Anyway, how do you guys feel about people who show themselves on cam? Those chatters who would rather be on cam naked then to be clothed...are these chatters ****ty or do you think that this is acceptable behavior...

This thread is not posted to try and start any shi* (like so many in the past have done) I am sincere in finding out what ya ll think

I've known tons of people that do it...and that is just their thing...I don't and wouldn't. Some people that are new to the internet don't realize that you can screen shoot that stuff or even record it and then you will have your yahoo's and your little bits all over the internet... definately something that come back to bite you in the ass with a future "spouse" or a future "employer"

NOW, if I was dating/married to someone that had to travel a lot and we couldn't see each other that much, it might be a option to keep the romance alive....just my opinion...

The word 'cam' in the internet world has a stigma attached to it, and rightly so I guess because of what it is mainly used for. But we cant forget that it can and is also used for more innocent purposes such as just being able to see (fully clothed and non sexual) the person ur chatting to.

I myself dont have a cam, but many of my friends do and its all been innocent. Except that time a friend of mine turned on his cam and i accepted the request only to be faced with his hoohaa staring back at me on the screen, he thought that was so funny. Needless to say he was deleted immediately from my contact list.

My long and drawn out point being theres nothing wrong with cam per se, its how its used. I consider it cheap thrills to be used in a sexual/cyber intimate nature,ugh, because I dont think Id wanna be involved with someone who found it no big deal to be stripping on cam and doing God knows what else, even if they claim its just for u because u 2 are a couple.

I have a built on cam built in my iMac. I have used it before to communicate with friends and family. I have also used it to flirt with the opposite ***...to an extent. As long as I knew it was consensual on both ends, its was cool. People will do what they do, I wouldn't worry about what other people do too much. If you don't want to do it, no one is forcing you.

I dont have a webcam and wouldnt get one either - they make me feel uneasy.
I have a couple of friends who have them and have turned them on during conversations, for the simple reason of showing me their faces (or on one occasion their pets lol), but even then, I felt quite uncomfortable and closed down the webcam window after a minute or so.

I have had a similar experience to Anesidora and reacted in exactly the same manner - seeing someones genitalia on a webcam is not something that "floats my boat".

I kinda understand Reds point - being married or otherwise committed couple who have to be apart for a time due to, say a job - however that is what camera cellphones are for ... and there is slightly less risk that things can be screen shot and plastered online for all to see.

I have a webcam and I use it to keep in touch with my family and close friends. I would not use it to meet someone I didnt know or to get off with someone I didnt know. Thats just effed up. But, it is a great thing to be able to see everyone you know when they lives miles away or out of state. I would never use my cam for perving. Of course if I was dating someone and we lived apart that could be fun, but we would have to have been together for a while to be comfortabe enough to do that.

If they wish to cam that's their choice. But as Red stated when you decide to flash your cracker or willy to others, chances are that a screenshot will be taken, then passed around at a later stage.
