Declain, the Forgotten Realm - Rules and Lists.
Declain is an adventure Rp, where over time, your character can level up, gain new items and grow with the story. In order to join the Roleplay you must create a character sheet and post it IN THE ROLEPLAY and not here.
The aim of the Rp leads in two directions. Firstly, you start off in the kingdom, but as the story plays out somehow you find yourself teaming up with the Kings men, and joining Thomas in his cause to find the Devilman Flagg either to destroy him... or join him. You can't stay in the kingdom, because you're going to get bored.

Please look at the First post in the Rp to view the story. Before we look at the Character sheet you need to understand the professions and which one will suit you.
This is a list of the available professions. (Note: Each profession offers different skills and unique items. Make sure you choose correctly, because you can't switch, unless you create a NEW character.)

The Character Sheet:
Your charater sheet is going to be your pass. In order to post you must copy and paste it into the beginning of your post EVERY post. This is because your stats will change, and others need to know what those changes are and what you have in your items. It must be set out like this.
NOTE: the parts in blue do not need to be placed in your posts. Just the first time you post the Character Sheet.

Level: Level 1 - [Everyone starts with this level.]
HEALTH - [You lose two bars for every hit against you.]
Attack - 5pnts (Will increase if you own a default weapon depending on your chosen profession/class.)
Defense - 4pnts (also depending on your class. If you're a knight or some fighter, you'd obviously have some kind of starting out armour. Defense is only applicable if you fight another character. If their attack is higher you lose.)
Items - (This would depend on your profession/class. But we all start out with 2 potions that restore three bars of health each.)
Skills and Abilities: (Also depending on your profession.)
Money: Look at your profession details for you classes income.
[For Your Information: Levelling up is determined by the number of posts you have.]

- Knight
Items: Default Sword or Bow or Axe or Spear [3atk points], Iron Armor [2def points],
Skills and Abilities: Trained Fighting. Hand to Hand. Horse Riding.
Income: 300gz
- Hunter
Items: Default Sword or Dagger or Bow or Axe or Spear [4atk points], Leather Armor [1def point],
Skills and Abilities: Experienced Fighter. Strong. Athletic. Fast.
Income: 150gz
- Wizard/Witch.
Items: Magic Staff or Wand [2atk points - spell books must be bought to increase atk], Spell book of elemental magic (Increases atk by 3 pnts. Allows character to cast any sort of Elemental magic.), 2 potions.
Skills and Abilities: Performs Magic naturally. Knowledged.
Income: 350gz
- Mystical Creature
Depends on the powers that particular creature holds; if one choses to be a giant, its probable that a tree could suffice for a club, most anything big from boulders to the giants own size could be used as a weapon; if one choses to be a dwarf however, its weapon could be magic, or vast numbers of little people helping him/her, or miniature versions of human weapons. Also werewolves and vampires would not need any weapons. Note: This is not Twilight, there are limitations.
Werewolves are extremely strong and fast. They may phase at will. However, they are left drained of energy once they return to normal. Vampires need to feed every once in a while. They too are extremely strong, quick, and do not need to eat or sleep.
Note: The two listed above have limitations, for instance, although stronger than normal humans, they do not possess SUPER strenghth where they can rip up trees. Giants do not level up. Also, Laura brought something up... you have to be another profession as well as a werewolf or a vampire, but then the other profession takes over and you get those items and income, but still retain the werewolf/vampire abilities.
Items: [Depending on what you are.] Club [20atk pnts] or miniture human weapon [5 atk pnts] or claws [6 atk pnts].
Skills and Special Abilities: Giant - Thick Skin [20 def pnts], slow, strong.
Dwarf - Shield [2 def pnts.], agile.
Werewolf - Very strong. Very fast. Wild. Becomes weak after change back to human.
Vampire - Very strong. Very fast. No sleep. Needs to feed.
Income: 100gz [Werewolves and Vampires do not recieve this amount.]
- Butler/Servant to The King and Queen
Items: Knife or dagger or Rolling pin [2 Atk pnts.] If you wish to be the sort, you may steal items.
Skills and Abilities: Thieving. Your level must be higher than they item you wish to steal in order to take it.
Income: 150gz
- Adventurer

Skills and Abilities: Navigation.
Income: 150gz
- Bounty Hunter

- Pirate

Items can only be bought when you are in a Kingdom, an Inn, or near a village. Blacksmiths, Doctors and cooks may sell you items anywhere at anytime. You can only buy an item that corresponds to your level. You may sell back items to the store. Stolen items cannot be sold back nor given to another character. You cannot steal more than 2 items at once if you possess the thieving ability.
You earn income weekly.

Potion++ - 150 gold [Fully heals]
PotionXtra - 300 gold [Gives you XTRA HEALTH] 4 more health bars.

Weather- Blizzard
Status- Change in the throne, financial ruin, probable attack
The Far Woods- 'home' to the exiles/rebels, conditions poor, wolves, bears, robbers, highwaymen, elves.
The Cliffs of Nmor- region is desolate, few vegetation, home to giffins and other flying beasts, supposed land of giants once the cliffs are scaled, dragons.
The Bleu Mountains- region is periless, rocky terrain, vegetation in the valley below, 'home' to sprites/trolls/ogres
The Sea of Forgetfulness- calm and placid close to shore, dangerous beyond eye sight, sea serpents plenty, probable pirate raids
Andua- Rival kingdom built on thievery and assasination; may very well have the most powerful naval ships and crews in the ancient world.
Outside those known borders, the maps show a few other regions, though they are rarely visited, due to the conditions of the surrounding areas; here are those places:
Garlen- Land of deep forests and surpassing beauty, and the occasional dragon
The Plains of Leng- Virtually desert, the birth place of magic! The innovator was a madman named Alhazred who bound a book of human flesh with the secrets of eternal darkness. It is the realm of wizards, waitches, prophets, soothsayers, nercomancers and astronomers.
Eluria- A kingdom in its own right, though it is more well known for its church, as hundreds have converted and became monks and nuns, devoted to the Gods and their temple shrine. It is no secret, though it is not written, that the church is more powerful than the royal household. The Elurians, though, are skeptical of realms and worlds other than their own and declare Declain and other kingdsoms as lies.
Now, as for the evil wizard Flagg...
Flagg- His vast knowledge of poisons and powders as well as medicines are beyond belief, but that isnt his only forte. He can read the skies, the stars, the moon, and knows when he is being tracked as well as read minds. His name merely needs to be spoken or thought, and he knows. His powers are not just in spells or in books, but his abilities to grow 'dim' as not to be detected, and being able to take shape, assume different identities, and cross over into other worlds, makes him a hard man to be caught...only his own selfish greed and ignorant pride, lets him be his own down fall.
Monsters + Enemies:
The monsters and enemies listed below do not work with attack or defense attributes. The monster you can defeat depends on your level. Fighting monsters reward you with special items you cannot purchase in stores. You may also sell the item for money.
Fighting Example:
Wolf [Level 1-10] - this means that any level from 1 - 10 can defeat it.
Giant Eel [Level 8 - 10] This means that only Characters at level 8 - 10 can defeat this monster.
Robbers and Highwaymen:
Level 1-10
Loot: 10 gold.
Wolves:
Level 1-10
Loot: Wolf Pelt [sell for 5 gold] or Fur.
Bears:
Level 4-10
Loot: Bear skin [sell for 20 gold]
Elves:
Level 3-10
Loot: Elven gold. [sell for 50 gold]
Sirens:
Level 4-10
Loot: Harp of Song [sell for 70 gold.]
Dragons:
Level 8-10
Loot: Dragon scale [sell for 500 gold], Dragon Sword [Sell for 500 gold] - Atk 30; (You may only choose one item to take)

Levelling up works as posts. If you post a certain number of times your level goes up by one. PLEASE PUT YOUR POST NUMBER IN THE TITLE FOR EVERY POST. On your second post Put 2 as the Title. Consult the list to see how it works:
5posts = Level 2 [Atk + 2; Defense +2]
7posts = Level 3 [Atk + 1; Defense +5]
12posts = Level 4 [Atk + 4; Defense +2]
15posts = level 5 [Atk + 6; Defense +3]
19posts = level 6 [Atk + 5; Defense +1]
24posts = level 7 [Atk + 4; Defense +4]
28posts = level 8 [Atk + 2; Defense +2]
30posts = level 9 [Atk + 2; Defense +5]
35posts = level 10 [Atk + 8; Defense +8]
Level 1 is starting Level.
When you upgrade to the next level make sure to make the correct adjustments in your character sheet when you post next.
Here's an Example:
If your attack was 5 and in level 2 your Attack pnts goes up by 3. Add them together along with your weapon (If you have one) to get your new attack.
Please check back at a later stage for Level 2 - 3 stats.
How Attacking another Character and Hit Posts against monsters work:
If you for some reason wish to attack another character then this is the method for doing so.
1. Your HEALTH goes down by 2 everytime you are hit. So if you're hit once it'll look like this:
HEALTH
2. Your Attack must be higher than your opponents defence in order to beat them. If you are equal, it will result in a draw... unless your oppenent lets you win. You CANNOT force a win.
3. After you attack you CANNOT predict your oppenents next move. You have to wait for them to post and retaliate. If they have a lower defense than your attack, they cannot block, but they can avoid or run away, or use the enviroment or a trap. And if they have a higher Attack than you, they are allowed to fight back.
4. Fighting someone who has both a higher attack and defense than you means you can't win. You can only run, use the enviroment or trap.
5. It must be done as a post.
Example:
Rper 1 - Attack: 5
Defense: 4
Rper 2 - Attack: 6
Defense: 5
Rper 1 [5] attacks Rper 2 [5]. Result = Equal points, therefore rper 2 can block the attack and retaliate.
Rper 2 retaliates. [6] Result = Attack is higher than Rper 1's defense [4], therefore Rper 1 can run, ask to stop, or accept the blow and lose two bars in their HEALTH. If the attack is a LOT higher than opponents defense, then they are FORCED to accept the blow.
Regarding Monsters:
1. Your defense does not apply here.
2. Look at your level and then the levels for monsters.
3. In order to defeat the monster your Level must be the same or higher than the monsters.
4. It must be done as a post.
5. If you are attacked, you lose two health bars.
Example:
Rper 1 - Level 5
Wolf - Level 1-10
Rper 1 attacks wolf. Result = If not hit, Rper 1 defeats wolf because level is good enough.
Fighting is necessary if you want to get special items. If you are helping out another Character with a fight then you can consider that a Hit Post for you as well.

Well basically if you're level 1 that means you can fight a wolf, because it can be beaten by any character level from 1 - 10, but if you're level 1 you can fight a bear, but you'll have to run as you can't defeat it. Only levels 4 - 10 can. Clear?
