Attraction to a specific race.

Everyone has their 'favorite' race that they are most attracted to, mine is black. But what I wanted to know is what (scientifically/psychologically) is it that makes an individual more inclined to any one race? Is it just a social thing (aka your environment), is it a genetic thing. Looking for some real and scientific theories here, I am dying to know.

Is this about homosexuals or people in general?

No particular preference, but I wouldn't go with a Pakistani or an albino looking thing. They don't do nothing for me.

Latino and mixed race are cute.

I prefer Australians - like if there was an American who lived here for 5 years - I wouldn't like them.
Just Australians.. They HAVE to be born here, HAVE to have the accent and HAVE to speak bogan sometimes, or at least use the words.
No other race really attracts me.

It's mainly because its just what I like? There's not really a justified reason other than that.

Homosexuals mainly. But people in general is fine I guess. So no one has an actual scientific theory?

I think if race is your qualifier in deciding on a partner... You are shallow and need to get some help with that.

I am a White woman, married to a Black man. I've also been married to a White man and had "long" relationships with men of several races. It isn't about what color someone's skin is that lead to attraction for me. It's about the person.

I think there are all kinds of factors. I think it's probably somewhat inherent to be attracted to "like" people but that can be overcome. Racism plays a part for some people... "I don't like people who dont look like me". There are some for whom opposites are attractive.

I don't think there is a lot of scientific basis for racial preference, any more than there is for me liking baked potatoes and you liking mashed. Personal preference.
