thread
gonna try to do a one-a-day thing
just for practice/fun
so
numero uno

as far as scanning goes, does anyone have any advice for how to edit the image? like the tools the use for it
the scan washes all of the drawing out. if i try to up the contrast and take the brightness down, it always looks messy. i always end up getting tiny areas where the graphite looks super dark, and it's not supposed to look like that- the hair and the glasses and the skin on the neck is almost black, but it obviously doesn't look that way
for the people that don't want to look through the whole thread:

First I'll say, that's awesome.
And I to get problems when scanning in my drawings. It's really annoying. =/

LOL.
Can I say super?
Ruth if you were a super hero, your powers would be speed--- drawing an awesome piece in a day.
It would more than likely take me over 3 years to make a failed attempt of your drawing.
As for the scanning dilemma, no comment.
I don't have a scanner and I don't know if Photoshop will be any help. .

That is some mad skills you got there.
One a day would be very interesting to see.
Can't comment on the scanning, I can't even get ours to switch on.

haha you deleted sick pax's post
thank you guys
if you end up with any scanning tips at any time, that'd be great
graphic converter and paintshop aren't very helpful
and scanning is a lot easier than photographing (instant pretty good quality, don't have to wait for good natural light during the day), so i'd rather not have to resort to that
more toniiight (i sure hope)

Surprisingly, I never saw a work of yours that is colored.
Why don't you color it in Photoshop or Illustrator?
