1. I'm a bit of a democrat ( if thats what the question is asking )
2. Yes and no. He has the ideals of an American now-a-days but he has a long way to go to get America and the world out of this economy.
3. The only real true feedom we have is if we break the rules/laws. I think it is a necessity for us to have rules/laws. Not only does it provide a standard some of it also inducts a moral code.

If there were no laws, most of us would be dead.

1. Myself, I believe in freedom at all costs. Suppose that makes me a libertarian.
2. I personally think he's just throwing money at it and hoping it will go away. Probably won't work out.
3. Like somebody famous once said, think it might have been Franklin, you can't legislate morality. Then again, some stuff like murder and robbery shouldn't be allowed. There are, however, a lot of really stupid laws. Like the one where the government can tap all your communication systems without a warrant.

2. No answer.

3. Again, I don't that is a stupid law but I do think if push comes to shove it might be a law that will probably be taken into action under very unorthodox conditions. I also do believe that there should be no release from Jail; you are either in or out ( you could appeal to a judge of course and etc. etc. ) to change your status and such.

Having a society with no laws is a pretty stupid idea. But, a society with only the laws necessary to keep people from killing/stealing from/beating the crap out of and no more would be pretty cool, IMO.

@Adel: If you had such a policy in place, the only laws that one could make (With jail time as a punishment, at least) are the most severe ones.

Not really, people every day complain about letting murders, gun launderers, drug dealers about getting out. If you're talking about misdemeanors, and like lesser crimes; all they do is basically pay a fine or a bail then they're free to roam the streets? I respectfully disagree. What about the old quote "Don't do the crime, if you can't do the time. " It may seem harsh to put "lesser" criminals in jail but still, a perfect utopia calls for strict laws and rules.
