Monogamy (Truth or tale?)
Why, in your opinion, do you believe there is little monogamy in both gay/lesbian and straight coupled relationships?

I did not know this. This seem's interesting. I have nothing to input but would like to know everyone's answers. I don't think we straights are any different though. Are we?

Input*
No difference at all. I figured it would be a good thread idea and something new that people can post about/relate to somehow.

Monogamy doesn't really have a sexual preference, after all we are all human and those who choose to be faithful or unfaithful will be regardless of their sexual preference.
P.S. Philly come be unfaithful with me. Bring you know who.

Very well said sweetie.
I'd be unfaithful with you for hours on end. I'm sure you know who would agree that you would be hours worth of fun.

I believe that relationships, both gay and straight, fail because nowadays people don't care. I mean, gay relationships, from what I've seen, heard and experienced, most just want one night stands, or if they're in a relationship, want an open one or have "fu ck buddies".
I'll be crude and say that the younger generation gays are the worst; to them, everything is about getting a d ick in their ass.
It's the same with straight people. Women want other co cks to ''try'' and men want tighter vaginas. (I read that in Heat magazine- I believe it to an extent.)
I always found it funny that when it's an older man/younger man gay relationship, they work better. Thus, the older gets a younger guy .. and the younger guy gets a knob.
Maybe also it's because you only live once? Although, my definition of "seize the moment" is entirely different from people who don't practice monogamy.

Personally i dont really agree with polygamy, we all have urges i know but in mind there is nothing special about a non-commited relationship. Half of the excitement is tying yourself to that one special person, giving all of yourself to them and knowing that with a little hard hard work that its a relationship that will/could last the tests of time. Having said that i am a bit of an old school romantic. I think conditioning has a lot to answer to, i think more so with the younger generations, the concept of *** has been cheapened due to portrails in the media, tv shows and movies. Once upon a time *** was a sacred thing shared between two people in love and it wasnt really discussed, nowadays you have boys comming into school to tell you how many times they got laid (not just boys really anymore, thats an unfair stereotype). The point is that nothing is sacred anymore and *** has become about sexual release, not about the special bond it can form between two people.
I also agree its not a gay/lesbian specific issue, and no im not a prude, *** can be fun and does play an important role in the dating world, its only in the non monogamous world that i disagree with.

If you truly love someone you wouldn't be unfaithful to them.
