Coming out?

So im trying to decide how to tell my parents that im bisexual. I don't think they will take it well. I've been raised by a strict Christian family and they dont believe in be homosexual at all. I have a few friends that know but thats it. My mom has asked if i was gay before but i lied and said no cause i didnt want her to disown me. Should I come out to them?

It isn't my place to tell you what you should and shouldn't tell your family being that you know them better. Your case proves to be a difficult one, but not impossible. I would suggest you wait until you move out of their home and make a life for yourself, but that is just me. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

I'm sure being your parents they would respect your honesty. They would be alittle upset with your choices beings there christian. If I were you I would take a shot and tell them. My parents didn't go as hard on me as I thought they would. Good Luck!

If your mum has already asked you..it seems like she suspects already...my mum and dad are christians and when i came out she was'nt pleased..but she accepts it who i am.

Well you're strong enough to be bisexual with the upbringing you've had. You're strong enough to not deny it/ignore it.
You seem pretty strong to me =p Telling people is easier than admitting you're not the person you thought you'd be.

just to add on here;

and telling people often surprises you; the reactions you thought you'd recieve, are often far from reality.
you never know until you try. If you feel ready, go for it.
No point rushing to it.

I think I have to agree on the waiting until you're out of the home on your own or at the least away for awhile. Decisions, especially ones of this nature can be very difficult to deal with and what makes it even more difficult is the surrounding circumstances such as family and friends who may have mixed views on the matter.

I also beleive that we are all very strong and we no matter who we are, we can overcome these challenges and find out whats best for us inside by following our own hearts. I wish you the best.
