Default The Fall of The King

The powerful Kingdom of Delarosa has long been in turmoil at the hands of King Kraig Delarose. The Delarose have always been in charge of the Kingdom but no King has been as terrible as King Kraig; he abuses his people with high taxes, low income and poor food and water, taking the best for himself, and his laws are strict and cruel, he sometimes even tortures people for his amusement. The people are miserable and ill and now the winter is fast approaching many will not survive the cold.

In this world everyone and everything contains magic within them, the Glyphs of Defence or Offence. In most ordinary people these Glyphs are barely there, but some people have amazing power that runs in their families. In all Kingdoms in the world of Gaia there are families with the most powerful Glyphs, these people are known as the “high blood”, and the people with the most powerful Glyphs are normally the royal family.
Glyph power is also harvested from the earth and used to power machinery, mostly for warfare but even things such as harvest machines. Though the peasantry still suffers a toil filled life in Delarosa.

Ever since this Kingdom was founded by the Delarose, there have been other families of “high blood”. These families have long provided the royal family with suitors for marrying and high up kingdom staff such as advisers, Knights, alchemists, scholars, etc.
These families have always been well taken care of by the Royal family and now they will not object to the King’s cruelty to his subjects. These families are the Talbolts, Romanus and the Rosenbergas.

Though behind the King’s back trouble is brewing… Some people are upset with his actions and soon they together will plan an overthrow right under the King’s roof. It will not be easy, the King is undoubtedly powerful and he has many a loyal subject who like the way things are at the moment; they are all of high blood, meaning they will be strong.
His three children are the first to realise they should overtake his rule and his eldest child, Prince Alexander is the perfect candidate to do so.

You are a member of one of the high blood families and you are going to try to overthrow the King and place the Prince on the throne. You can have various reasons to do so, be it for the people or yourself. Whatever your motive you are in the castle for some reason; I’ll list the ways you can be in a moment.

Things you need to know:
Well you should really understand the setting, it’s a bit like medieval times, you still have things such as candles and a wee-wee pot under the bed, but the world is enhanced by Glyphs so you’ll get grand opening doors and war machines, things like that as aforementioned. People from high esteemed families who have a lot of Glyph power can probably run these machines from there own power and not what is harvested. Just imagine a magical medieval world and there you go.

The Glyphs you will have work like so: there are Offensive Glyphs which give you the super kickass ability to fight other people and the Defensive ones which allow you to heal and protect and other things like that. Now for whatever you choose you need to decide on one or two elements; Fire, Water, Wind, Lightning or Earth to accompany it. Please no more than two though.
So if you end up with something like Defensive water and earth Glyphs it means you could have abilities like “healing rain” or “seed implantation”, stuff like that, you get my drift? Glyph types, as they are known, do not run through the family; a brother could have offensive fire and his sister could have defensive wind. Only the level of power is decided by your family blood line.

There are different branches of the families: the main line who would have the most Glyph power and then there are the lesser branches that would not be held in as high esteem as the main one, meaning they would be worth less if they went to work/live in the castle. Lesser branches have probably married into peasantry meaning that they have lost some of the Glyph power as it runs through families. You can be from a lesser branch if you want but it means less respect and power for you, meaning you will have to make your character not as powerful as you might like.

If you like you can be one of the three royal children as long as they are under 25 and over 11. That’s why I didn't really specify any names or anything for them (with the exception of Alexander, just so things don't get complicated, like if someone is the second child and makes them male meaning there are two Princes and no one knows which one is being referred to). I plan to be one so I should give you guys a run at it as it’s only fair. If you are in the royal family you would be particularly strong and thus it would be unfair if I told you all to eff off and was one myself.

Though you have kickass abilities you should remember that this is less about the fighting and more about the shady things that go on to slowly bring the King from power; discrediting of the King’s staff, framing people, slowly getting rid of the people who stand in the way of the King’s fall. I have no doubt there may be killing of the King’s trusted advisers and stuff and family backstabbing, but remember this is mostly all secret stuff that goes on behind King’s back, so you probably wouldn’t break into the throne room all guns blazing setting people on fire. No God-modding, you have to be reasonable, your character can’t be indestructible with like nine penises and if you are particularly strong give yourself a downfall. I trust you guys so don’t let me put a bunch of rules and stuff on you.

Here is a list of occupations:
High branches:
Advisor: You simply advise the King.
Scholar: You research things for the King.
Knight: You are a noble fighter of the King, (you need and Offensive Glyph for this.)
Mage: You work mostly with Offensive Glyphs and are not a physical fighter.
Cleric: You are like the mage but work with defensive Glyphs.
Machinery harvester: You deal and tend to the machines including overseeing Glyph harvesting. You also make sure that the Kingdom is running smoothly, eg.: checking doors are working properly.
Alchemist: You throw a bunch of things in a pot together and there.
Doctor: You would probably have a Defensive Glyph for this.
The King’s Mistress: Oh yes that’s right, but no men here. You are held in high regard for this as well; I mean the King doesn’t need anything else compared to this. (See notable character: Faith Talbolt.)
Low branches:
Maid to the Royal children: You clean and care for the little buggers. Your gender may differ here.
Assistant: Assistant to any of the above not including mistress.
For low or high:
Guest: You are here to enjoy the royal court, the parties, artwork, etc.

Notable Characters:
Kraig Delarose
He has an Offensive Glyph with the elements of Fire and Wind. He is fond of drink and women; he was unfaithful to his wife while she was alive. Though a horrible man he does care for his children and is proud to have such a strong son as his heir.
Lucia Rosenbergas
Was the King’s wife, though she is deceased she is worth mentioning due to referencing. She died shortly after her last child and her children take after her kinder nature, caring for the peasants. Keep in mind that if you are from the Rosenbergas family you will be related closely to the royal family.
Ambrose Talbot (not on your side)
The King’s chief advisor; feel free to kill this guy off at some point. ((He has Offensive Wind and Lightning))
Faith Talbot (is on your side)
The King’s mistress; he doesn’t treat her well and made her get rid of their illegitimate child before it was born. .(For reference, this was after Queen Lucia's passing.) Faith has an Offensive Fire Glyph
The King’s council and followers:
These are general people who are loyal to the King; feel free to make some up along the way as we need some people to be working against. Note: One or two council members may be double agents, working on your side to help bring down the King.
Prince Alexander; He’s the one next in line to be King. ((He has an Offensive Fire and Water Glyph))
Other child of the King; ((Sorry WhySoSerious beat you to it you can't be this guy/girl anymore))
Another child of the king; this is who I am, back off ladies.
The three of them are close though.

Your Character Sheet:
Name:
Family: Please mention your branch level here, we’ll say there are 3 classes; high, medium and low.
Age:
Appearance:
Personality:
Occupation: Reason why you are at the castle.
Glyph type: (Don’t be afraid to pick Defensive; as I’ve said this is more about shady dealings behind peoples’ backs than fighting.)
Element types: (Pick one or two, but if you are a low branch you may only have one.)
History: (Optional, please go into as much or as little detail as you like.)
Other: (This is where you mention other things you want known. Yes, as trivial as your fave fruit, to just wanting it to be said that you’re a flaming homosexual. (Written by Laura. c: ))
Right we cool?

I would like to both thank and credit Laura as she made sure this didn't come out as an incoherent mess and also made the banner. I would have never posted this if she didn't back me. Thank you Laura XXX.

Name: Vivien (Vivi for short)
Age: Just turned 13.
Family: Delarose.
Appearance: Green eyes and long brown hair. She has freckles and is small and delicate looking. Similar to the image below just with green eyes; more freckles too.
Personality: Polite, quiet, shy and sometimes nervous. She cares greatly for the people with a kind and gentle nature.
Occupation: Princess of the court.
Glyph type: Defensive.
Element types: Wind and Earth.
History: Her mother Lucia died when she was young and she does not remember her as a result. She became very close to her maids, siblings and Faith Talbolt because of the absence of her mother. She has lived a very sheltered life, normally in her quarters all day and she has never learned true independence, even being dressed by her maids.
Other: Vivien does not particularly enjoy the social life at the castle and avoids dancing and interacting with guests at the grand parties unless told to by her father. She has always preferred her own company alongside those close to her. Vivien has retained a passion for her toys as she has gotten older and she probably always will, she normally has a toy in tow and her rooms resemble nurseries.

<3

Vivien sat alone on the floor carefully dressing her favorite doll, a beautful white porcaline girl will golden locks. She handled it with care as always, making sure that the doll kept it's wonderful prestine look. She pulled it back to look at it and stroked it's smooth pink cheek, she lay it down slowly and began to place it in it's small white Mary Janes. A knock on her door brought her in to reality.
'It's me' called the familier voice of Faith Talbot from the otherside of the door, Vivien turned her attention back to her doll.
'Come in Faith' Vivien waited until she felt Faith's presence behind her before she turned around. She looked up at the beautiful smiling redhead and smiled back. Faith stood watching Vivien with her doll for a second before she joined her on the floor.
'Your father has called for your presence at supper tonight' Faith said rasing her eyes to the girl.Vivien brought her doll to her chest holding it close in the crook of her arm, presently she felt her heartbeat through it.
'Who else will be their Faith?' Vivien murmered. Her eyes went to a bruise on Faith's cheek, that was visable regardless of her make-up, this sight was met with a pang in Vivi's stomach.
'Your siblings, me and a few of the King's council and-' Faith was cut of by Vivien's hand rasing to her face, it stopped on the brusie and glowed a pale green; a soft breeze ran over Faith's face and the brusie was gone. The two shared a knowing silence for a second and then Faith spoke.
'I'll have your maids come and bathe and dress you' Faith then got to her feet and the two said goodbye. Vivien heard the door close; she rasied the doll to her eye level, she looked at it's cheek.
Later she was bathed and then dressed in some of her finest clothes; she sat on the bed as her shoes were slipped on.
'Well come on then My Lady, stand and give us a twirl' said the cheerful voice of Claudia who now stood up from placing Vivien's shoes on. Vivien stood and twirled making her dress come above her white stocked knees.
'Perfect my dear' Claudia said and made her way to the girls feet to make sure the hem of the dress was neat. Claudia had long been Vivien's maid, it had been her first job when she came to the castle at the age of 21 and she had known nothing else since.
'Thank you Claudia' Vivien said softly and then she walked to the mirror when Claudia gestured her to do so, she turned to look at her back.
'You look very nice My Lady and I'm sure you will enjoy supper'

Name: Viktor Romanus
Family: High

Age: 22
Appearance: That final fantasy guy I normally use. I'll edit this in later.
Personality: Viktor isn't afraid to express himself and get his point across. He has the interest of the Kingdom at heart. He keeps to himself and is often considered far too serious by his peers.
Occupation: Advisor
Glyph type: Offensive
Element types: Fire + Lightning
History: Viktor is the youngest advisor in the King's Council. Although he advises the King, he has no respect for the man, and only keeps his position because he wants to make a difference. He's often on thin ice with the King due to his straight forward nature on Kingdom matters, but never steps too far out of line. The King holds Viktor in high regard as an advisor.
Other: Edit laterz.

A young girl turned a corner, accompianed by two maids. She was Princess Adora Delarose, a royal child. She was looking very flustered and annoyed.
"Please, Princess! We do beg that you slow down! We are so sorry that we forgot dinner!" both of her maids begged.

"You'd better be! Father will probably be very dissapointed!" She replied angrily. Silence followed her outburst and she frowned. "I'm sorry, I'm just irritable today, I don't know whats wrong. I love my dress by the way, suberb choice."

Adora said, trying to make the feel better. She was wearing a gown made of purple satin the was has a lacy fringe at the bottom. Adora looked from the corner of her eye and saw the maids beaming, that must of done the trick.

I've changed my character sheet a little on the other category because there was something that I'd forgotten to put; it explains why she has a doll with her in my first post. I am sorry if this has inconvenienced anyone.

Name: Tobias Romanus.
Family: Romanus. High.
Age: 29.
Appearance: Plz to be clickin'.
Personality: Quiet and thoughtful, still retaining a little of the shyness of his youth, Tobias can often be found with his nose in a book. When he's not busy studying, reading for pleasure, training his abilities and working for the King, he enjoys a good, deep conversation.
Occupation: Head Mage. Former Scholar.
Glyph type: Offensive.
Element types: Lightning and Earth.
History: His father was the former Head Mage for the Kingdom and he has a younger sister, Ellie. Their mother died when Ellie was still fairly young, and with his father busy as Head Mage, along with the nine year age gap between him and his sister, he played a large part in raising her, though he doesn't resent his father for this; it made the two siblings very close, his above average level of intelligence made it considerably easier for him to take care of her than it would have been for the average child, and he always understood the importance of his father's job, even being proud of him for all the effort and hard work he put into it.
Despite his father being busy a lot of the time he always made sure not to neglect his children and the family remained close even after his wife's death. Tobias has a lot of respect for this father and his work, which is why when his father passed he immediately took up the offer to take his place. It meant a lot more work than being a scholar, but he'd always dreamed of being able to make the kind of difference his father had, and wanted more than anything to make him proud. He'd also always had a great love for Glyph magic, and having been a scholar with such an interest he knows a great deal about it, so he was perfect for the job.
Other: His sister loves cooking and gardening, and he enjoys reading in the garden as she tends to it. When not in the garden Ellie can be found in the kitchens, indulging in her second favourite hobby, cooking alongside the Cooks and maids, or in the library as she too gained the love for knowledge her parents had. Plus there's plenty of books on cooking and gardening, too.
He was childhood friends with Faith Talbolt, and she often spent time with him helping him take care of Ellie. The three still remain friends, though only his sister knows that he's actually madly in love with Faith and always has been; he was much too shy to ever admit it to her. His love for her is another reason why he wants the King dead.
His favourite fruit is grapes. His favourite colour is red; the same as Faith's hair.

"But I really don't want to go, Toby," came the highly annoyed voice of Ellie, Tobias' sister. "You know him, it'll probably just be another big gold statue being unveiled, or worked on..."
"Ellie," he said sternly, but she took no notice.
"Or about how his new diet is working out so nicely, and he looks so good - or how he thinks he looks so good - and because of it now when it he looks down, for the first time in thirty years, he can actually see his--"
"Ellie!" He stopped midstride and turned to her with a look of horror on his face. "That's quite enough. Remember you're a young woman, you shouldn't even think about such...eugh, vile things. We're meant to be eating in a moment after all," he added softly, lowering his tone as he turned and continued to walk down the hallway.
"Fine, fine. I'll pretend to be gracious and elegant and even remotely interested in the manure he calls good conversation." She followed after her brother reluctantly.
"That-a girl. We just need to get through this meal and then we have the rest of the evening to ourselves."

They reached the large doors to the grand dining hall, the doormen opening them to allow them in. The King wasn't yet at the table; he'd make his big entrance when all the other guests were already there, along with Faith on his arm. There were a few people already seated though, mostly those on the council. Soon enough the place would be full of the Advisors, a few scholars along with the Head Scholar, Knight, Cleric, Harvest Overseer, Alchemist and Doctor; Tobias was here due to being Head Mage, of course.
He and his sister took their seats and hadn't been settled long before the place seemed full and they heard the trumpets signalling the arrival of the King, along with the always thrilling, "Ladies and gentlemen: His Majesty, King Kraig, and Ms. Faith Talbolt."
Tobias felt the usual churning in his stomach he always got when hearing Faith's name as part of that hideous introduction. It seemed they had another truly enjoyable evening ahead of them.

Vivien sat in between her siblings, her favorite doll, Alice, at her feet out of sight. She glanced around at the now full table, it would not be long before her Father and Faith joined them. As the King's children the three of them were seated near the top of the table, with Ambrose Talbot and a few others the King trusted greatly opposite to them. At the very top of the table there were only two chairs, both extremely grand, here the King of Delarose and his significant other were supposed to sit. Though their relationship was out of wedlock Faith was still placed here.

"Ladies and gentlemen: His Majesty, King Kraig and Ms. Faith Talbot." Vivien reached under the table and grabbed Adora's hand, feeling glad that she could take comfort in her siblings at least. She glanced nervously at Alexander, who nodded at her. Alexander was considered the pride of the Kingdom, he was perfect; a strong male heir with Offensive Glyphs. He was intellectual, athletic and handsome, all his father could want from a son. If Alexander had been a girl Vivien got the impression that she and Adora may have been considered "failed" and her father would not love them like he did.

The King walked in Faith holding his arm; Vivien had to give it to Faith, if you didn't know her you would think she enjoyed the King's company, she knew how to play her part. They took their seats at the top of the table and the feast began at the King's order. Foods of the grandest sort littered the table, but Vivien had little appetite for the food or this event, especially since the peasants were practically without food, she stayed quiet unless spoken to. She ran her eyes across the Head's of the castle, as they were called, she smiled upon seeing the Alchemist. He was what she described as a delightfully odd man, he wore bright fluorescent colours and a large grin on his old face. He took care of fireworks for events, not unlike this one, and took great care in making sure the ones for her and her siblings birthdays were wonderful. She like him a lot and he seemed like a genuinely good man, the only other Head she thought she could consider even liking was Tobias Romanus. This was not because of good conversation or things in common - though she did quite like books - but the opposite, he unlike so many others seemed to understand that she wanted to be left alone. That she did not want to talk, or really have much to do with goings on; but best of all he seemed to understand about her liking of toys, or at least was courteous enough not to talk about it, as if knowing the subject may be a disagreeable one.

After the normal talk, that took place at a table like this one, had gone on for a while, the King tapped his goblet and all attention went to him. At times like these you would get a scolding if you continued eating or drinking. Vivien was exempt from this scolding, but was still expected to stop and she was only glad to do so, as the food on her plate was becoming a struggle under the nerves she had at times like this. She was worried about those around her, as she knew some people only had to do very little to get in her Father's bad books, and this was not a place you wanted to be. The King rose to his feet, a smile across his face.

'As you may have guessed' the King began 'tonight was not just about a wonderful feast, but something much more significant.' He glanced down at Faith and offered her his hand raising her to stand beside him. 'I wish to also tell all of you that I, the King of Delarose will be married again, to none other than the beautiful Faith Talbot.'
The world could have stopped, Vivien looked at her brother, he was as shocked as she was. She looked at Faith; who looked back at her, her eyes looked apologetic and sad, but her face seemed happy. Vivien remembered the bruise on Faith's cheek, she gulped, her food was now inedible to her, she felt sick. Already she was trying to hold back tears, she looked at everyone else who had begun to applaud. She couldn't let this marriage go ahead, but how could she just stand and say that.
'Father' she said getting her father's attention, she had one weapon up her sleeve and that was that her father was sweet with her.
'I don't want to be rude, but why have you decided to marry? I thought you didn't want another wife or Queen?' Vivien said in her sweetest voice, her brother had joked saying this was her "father voice", at times like this though it didn't feel very laugh worthy.
'Well my dear' the King started 'there are quite a few reasons, one is that I feel my relationship with Faith should be in wedlock.' 'Your advisors in other words' Vivien though bitterly, she looked at Ambrose Talbolt. 'And Faith won't be Queen just my wife.' Vivien looked at him shocked, she knew she Faith didn't have to be Queen, but those things had always come hand in hand in her mind.
'I won't let there be any other Royalty than just us, another reason is that I want you and Adora to have a mother'he said smiling at Vivien.

'But I don't want a mother, I don't need one' Vivien said desperately.
'Don't be silly sweetheart, you need one now especially, you're becoming a woman... and maybe it would help you mature. You'll get to be a bridesmaid so you should be happy.'
This filled Vivien full of bitterness, she was not immature she just liked toys still; then there was the fact that she would not like being a bridesmaid, did he really know so little. It was because of this announcement Vivien was finally pushed completely against her father, she decided in the moment she backed down that she would see him off the throne. She looked across the table and her eyes met Tobias's.

Adora watched Vivien be scolded sadly. Why should Faith be our mother, she dosen't even know us that well. And I certainly am not going to be the flower girl! I might not even be coming to the wedding.

She eyed Faith evily. She hated that woman. She couldn't even come close to be bieng like her real mother, even though she didn't know her real one that well.

She just knew. Adora put her hands to her face and started sobbing. Adora got off of her chair and ran out the Dining Hall. She didn't care if anyone followed her. Adora just had to get to a safe place.

{{FFFFFFFF suffering writer's block in not being able to write...good. :C
Gotta keep writing through the block.}}

Soon Faith and the King were seated, and the feast began. Tobias could never stomach to eat much at these meals, truthfully everything was far too extravagant for his tastes, he much preferred simple food. He had deliberately had a very light lunch, hoping that if nothing else him knowing he'd be ill if he didn't eat at dinner would force him to eat a decent amount. He glanced to Ellie who was eating normally, well, not normally for her; she always had a huge appetite, though one wouldn't guess it looking at her, so the amount she was eating was either due to being polite or not being particularly hungry under the circumstances herself, if not a combination of the two.
Noticing his eyes upon her she looked to him and gave a small smile of encouragement, as though trying to remind him of his own words, that they just needed to get through this meal.

It hadn't been long before the King tapped his goblet to get everyone's attention. Tobias was thankful of a reason to stop forcing food down, but at the same time worried about what he was going to announce.
'As you may have guessed,' the King began 'tonight was not just about a wonderful feast, but something much more significant.' He glanced down at Faith and offered her his hand raising her to stand beside him. 'I wish to also tell all of you that I, the King of Delarose will be married again, to none other than the beautiful Faith Talbot.'
Tobias froze. Time had stopped. His chest felt like it would explode. Suddenly he felt something that snapped him back to reality, it was Ellie's hand grabbing his tightly underneath the table. He looked around to see everyone else was applauding, except for the King's children that was. He looked to Faith and her eyes met his. Though she was smiling her eyes couldn't have looked sadder. It looked like she was dying. How could Kraig look into those eyes and not see all of her suffering? Was he really that stupid? Was it even possible? Or was he just even crueler than Tobias had at first thought.
He waited for the sting of tears to come to his eyes so he could fight them back, but nothing came. He hadn't taken it in yet. Was this just a nightmare? How could anyone allow them to marry after what he'd done to his wife, after what he still did to Faith. He squeezed his sister's hand tightly, his free hand balling into a fist on his lap. He wasn't going to let this happen.

Vivien spoke out, 'Father, I don't want to be rude, but why have you decided to marry? I thought you didn't want another wife or Queen?' she said in her sweetest voice.
'Well my dear, there are quite a few reasons, one is that I feel my relationship with Faith should be in wedlock. And Faith won't be Queen just my wife. I won't let there be any other Royalty than just us, another reason is that I want you and Adora to have a mother,' he said smiling at Vivien.
'But I don't want a mother, I don't need one' She said desperately.
'Don't be silly sweetheart, you need one now especially, you're becoming a woman... and maybe it would help you mature. You'll get to be a bridesmaid so you should be happy.' Vivien's face was a mixture of anger and confoundment.

She frowned deeply, then looked across the table and her eyes met Tobias's. He hadn't realised until that moment that he himself was frowning furiously. He looked directly into the girl's eyes, trying to communicate that he would not allow the announced event to take place.

Everyone's attention was diverted from the King and Faith as Adora broke out into sobs, then got off of her chair and ran out the Dining Hall. Tobias stood immediately,, looking at Kraig, but the feel of Ellie's hand on his robes made him bite his tongue. He gritted his teeth in anger and fought to unfurrow his brow. His sister was right, it would do no good to slate the King, it would only make things worse. "Perhaps," he calmed his voice slightly, "I could go after her Highness, make sure she is all right?"
"Oh no, no," the King waved his hand a little, "don't worry yourself over it, her maids will take care of her. She is but a silly young girl, used to getting her own way, she will warm to the idea in time. Come, let us not let this stop us from enjoying the meal."
"Of course... Your Majesty."

The King seated himself again, Faith and Tobias following his lead. He didn't know who to feel more sorry for, Faith or the King's children, especially the girls; Vivien was close to Faith, so it was hard for her to see her father treating her so badly, and Adora despised the woman. Tobias had fought hard not to let this affect his behaviour around the girl, he thought of it from her point of view, her mother dead and her father forcing another woman upon her. No child would want a replacement for a parent forced upon them. Still, he wasn't happy that Adora took it out on Faith, but with a father like hers he didn't blame her.

Tobias managed to make it through the rest of the dinner, and despite Ellie's many attempts to talk to him about what had happened he remained silent for most of the evening. Later on, after his sister had gone to bed, it started to rain heavily, and soon turned into a full blown storm. He sat out on the balcony, staring off over the Kingdom, the weather reflecting his mood. In a way it was almost therapeutic; the crashing of the thunder and sudden bursts of lightning allowed him to let his anger out through them, at least enough for him to be able to calm himself and get some rest.
He couldn't remember the last time he'd felt so angry, and concluded than in fact he had never been. All his life he'd followed rules and orders, just trying to make little differences for the better wherever and whenever he could, but this time...this time he couldn't hold back, this time he didn't care if he had to risk his life, a change would be made; King Kraig Delarose would be taken off the throne one way or another.
"Even if I must kill him myself."
