Plot Sypnosis:

The year is 1885, and the setting is Pueblo, Colorado. It is a time of destitution, and unrest. The Yukon and the California valleys and mountains are under a firestorm of weary travellers, hoping to strike it rich. The President of the United States was Grover Cleveland. Famous law men of the day were Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson, Pat Garrett, and Buffalo Bill Cody. The West was becoming more and more apart of America, and with the railroads and early development of telepgraphy, communication was all the more accessible to the public.

Then...a series of sightings all across the nation began.

From Queens, New York to Gnome, Alaska it seemed people come out of the wood work announcing that they saw objects in the sky, flying at blinding speed. The District of Columbia gets all up in arms, wondering if the sightings are what they fear the most: an attack from another country! But who? And how were they doing it?

Nothing had been engineered thus far, not even during the height of the Civil War, that could explain what thousands across America were witnessing. And some whispered amongst themselves, that maybe, there was nothing out there to protect the civilians of the country from whatever it could be in the skies.

Enters Pueblo, Colorado. Finally. On a Thursday morning, before the sun had a full chance to rise yet, the skies lit up as a pillar of fire shooted across the plains and slammed into Muldoon Hill. What the farmers and passerby's on their way to other places more important, found at the site was something beyond imaginations could allow.

The wreckage was taken into a nearby barn, and orders were made instantly to telegraph the govenor, who who later telegraph Washington.
Then the fun really began....Aurora, Texas was the next site of a crash. Then another, and another. Then something more amazing began to happen. The vehicles began to open, and unleashed a hell the world has never seen again. This is the story, of the most closely guarded secret, in American history.

President Cleveland summons the greatest war heroes and gunfighters in the West to come to Washington, gives them the scoop, and swears them all to secrecy and promises them deals if they are successful in their mission to protect America from the other worldly threat. Such an example, was that Billy The Kid's bounty was dropped, as his death was an orchestrated fake, and Garrett in turn became famous as the killer of The Kid.

Post-Civil War technology in the hands of aged gunfighters and America's most wanted criminals, against invaders from another world!
　
Characters:

While such men as Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson, Bill Cody and Pat Garrett were mentioned, they are dead locks. Nobody can quite play these characters, or the following characters that I will mention here shortly. What can be done, though, is that the characters you create can use references to those listed, either as an associate of their's or your character is in the region/area that is being under marshall law of those listed, and witin reason mention what those characters did, along with your own RP character.

Weapons of the Times:

Face it guys, this is as realistic as it gets. Unless you are able to kill an alien and get ahold of a weapon of their's, you are stuck with the weapons available in 1885 USA. Here is a list of the most popular weapons of the day.
.44 caliber six shot pistol
Spencer Repeating Rifle; .50-.70 caliber
Grenades (new to the military at the time)
Gatling Gun (new to the military at the time); 1,000 rounds per minute, .58 caliber
Aeronautical Balloon (new to the military at the time)
Confederate Steam Machine Gun (new to the military at the time); 400 rounds per minute, non-lethal though
Submarine (new to the military at the time)
Rocketry (new to the military at the time)
Twelve Pound Cannon; projects 12 pound shells (common on the battlefield)

Now, you do have a choice, however, to chose to either be a freedom fighter for America in this 'Wild West meets Space' deadly encounter, or you can be an alien warrior sent forth on a mission to destroy the human race. One problem with this idea, though, because it is a definite that most people more than likely would chose to be an alien over a cowboy....so it should be given a vote!

Should there be appointed aliens, quite possibly experienced role players getting these roles? Or, should it be a dead lock, that it should just be humans killing aliens, and using aliens freely in the RP's since there is an infinite number of them?

This is unrelated to this topic, but, we're trying to start up Declain again.
I dunno if you're interested since we were basically waiting for you ever since we originally started.

True. But, I just thought I'd make a new RP. I think this works better, in a sense, than Declain does, only because its new material thats not been done before here I dont believe. Declain, for all intents and purposes, is a tough RP for the average role player to handle, with the levels and all.

Here, with this RP, the only levels to deal with would be ammunition, health, and in the case of being a general or whatever, the loss of life in your army.

I did a little bit of research on this RP, with weapons of the era and all, so I would be grateful if anyone actually took up this RP and used it. But, whatever suits you best to do. Both RP's [Declain and this one] are excellent works, imo, not just because I made them, but for their originality here on this site.

Definitely. I'll have to see if I can get around to joining. I'll see if anyone else does too, though it may take a while, since as I said in Declain just nooooow the place is running a little slow as of late. Hopefully it'll perk back up, especially when Mad Hatter gets back for The Resistence...I dunno if Masta Shake's away or not... I'll leave him a message.
