Can you help?

Hey Guys, reposting, apparently I was spamming.

Basically Im a filmmaker and Im looking to research for my next film project which I want to base on sexuality/coming out etc.

I could of course do this from personal experience but I think it would be pretty damn ignorant of me to sum up the drama and confusion around the subject matter based soley on my my own experience which is why I have turned to you guys.

My previous films are ok but I feel like I have no personal attachment to them whatsoever and I really want to make a film that I can identify with as well as the LGBT community.

I suppose what Im asking for here is a discussion about personal experiences with coming out, how people reacted and in particular 'taking a chance' by telling that certain 'someone'.

Hope you can help achieve something we can all relate to.

Ask for people opinions in real life.
It's much easier than sourcing online.
Some people could be telling lies.

Yeah thats a good idea. The same way they do auditions to see who would get the role they could do something similar to interview and get some answers to his questions. In real life not only will you get a story but you can get reactions, feelings, etc something almost imposible behind a computer screen. Just a thought.

True, however it is more likely and easier to lie if you feel safe and that there are no consequences to your lies if you are hiding behind a computer from the safety of your own home. (thus why we have so many tards here, I highly doubt they behave that way when they are not safe from behind a computer in real life) Its also easier to detect this in real life by analyzing body language (mainly poor eye contact [a sign of remorse b/c they are lying]). Behind a computer they dont even have to make eye contact with you.

Hey guys thanku for your input, i think your definately right in terms of understanding more by asking people in real life, much more personal im sure, its just a case of finding someone who is willing to talk deeply about such a subject, which is why i postd this thread, i was hoping for a combination really and to deviate away from ppl i know, but uve definately got me thinking about interviews, thanku guys xxx

That is good. I'm sure you will find people who are willing to talk about this issue. I don't know what your budget is but im sure you'll find even more people to interview if you offer them something for the interview in terms of money.
