I don't think Smith can do anything for that Scotland squad, i'll tell you one thing, it takes guts to accept that job. Their whole system needs revamping from the way they teach their kids how to play to importing second grade foreign players.

I don't know about that, some foreign countries also refer to it as soccer (Japan/Korea is an example) and some call it football. It just depends in some countries what you call it... anyway I think its better if its known as football, it deserves the name more.

Yeah, our whole squad is on a role at the moment, it gives us confidence knowing that we put 2 different teams out and beat Arsenal and Tottenham's first team. We're still short on strikers though. We have Aston Villa away this weekend.

Well I thought Walter Smith was supposed to be a great manager for Rangers, but nearly took Everton down so I'm really not sure about him. Give him a chance anyway, I don't think he can be any worse than Berti Vogts (although not entirely his fault for Scotland's misfortunes). I think he can raise the team spirit and fight more. I beats having a foreign coach believe me.

I thought Gordon Stachan would be a better choice for Scotland too I agree. Come on! We need one of our rivals to actually be as good as us, because when we have international derbies, they aren't as exciting as they were 5 or 6 years ago. I think Stachan would have been able to do that.

That was a great win for Heatrs against Basle, and yes, in the two games we played against them in the CL, we failed to beat them on both occasions. I think it will be tough for Hearts to get through because there are quite a few good teams in that group... I can't remember whether its 2 or 3 teams that go through from each group. I think its 3.... 8 groups of 3 = 24 + 1 foem each of the 8 CL groups = 32

Thats 5 times in 7 games you scored 4 goals... Robben was class again, Lampard was class again and Drogba's back too. Liverpool sucked big time again. I know Villa are a good side but we really should have won and not given away a silly free kick when we know how good Solano is when it comes to free kicks.

I don't think the SPL teams breed enough young players to make Soct;and a good enough international side, you have Livingston, who were full of Spaniards, Hibernain have some Frenchmen, Celtic and Rangers are full of foreigners anyway, and Hearts have a dutchman who used to play in one of the lower teams in a very poor dutch league... but saying that, Holland have a very good international team with young dutchmen in, maybe these young players that are coming through at the moment eg. Craig Beattie, Aiden McGeady, Kennedy etc. should try and make a move to a better league in 2 to 3 years time if they aren't playing regular enough in their team. Anyway, I think Smith will improve the Scottish team, but he will have alot of work, finding the right training staff etc.

I like Freddy Adu for DC United Thats about it. I don't really get much chance to watch it, the highlight to MLS come on about 3 in the morning..... along with Brazilian Football, Argentinian, Portuguese and Dutch. Thats what I keep missing out on. I'd love to watch it. I think the MLS has along way to go before it gets to Premier League, la liga & Serie A quality. If you was born and bred in the UK, I Bet it would easily be your fave.
