a lot has to do with how you treat your child...treat them as an adult they will act like an adult, but when someone like a teacher talks down to them thats when the big trouble starts.

it saddens me to see threads like this open...even though i respect the one openin it....
its not that difficult to figure out...its not all the kids ...why do u all think the kids are the snotty ones ...how about the parents...and the kids who ae so friggin afraid to speak out afraid of what may happen ??? no ...and to another sayin don't have kids etc ...yeah ok good advice ...example...excuse me hun no kids for us they might be snotty
how about u stop tryin to judge the kids and take a good hard look at urself and them before u say anything maybe they think ur the snotty ones not them ...
how to handle them again sorry to burst ur bubble its not all the kids fault ...**** look at some of the ones in here...one oh golly gee my kids are great ...karate course ...college material ...were talkin 16 and 12 comeon ppl think

There's not a right or wrong way to raise a child.
And not all children that you think are brats are.
Mostly children are brats because they're bored and have nothing to do or their parents just don't care and let them do what they want.
I personally don't think any child is a brat.
It's just the way they grew up and know how to act.

lol Okay to defend all teachers, Langdon, why would you say that "teachers" talk down to kids? Hmm? I probably know the answer, but that was so not fair.
The problem with children all start at home. Like Mez said, it is the parenting or lack of parenting that happens in the home environment.
Not having time for the children you bring into this world is an outright disgrace.
