Urgent advice needed

I'm not sure whether to post this or not but I'm really worried about an old friend. I'll call her Maria.

For reasons I'm not going into we don't talk anymore. She's told me she doesn't want any contact with me at all. The thing is though I still keep in contact with her half sister and she mentions things to me about her.
I was talking to her today and she told me that her husband had to take her father home straight away because there was something wrong with Maria.
I asked what it was but she didn't know (they don't really talk, haven't done so in many years)
I want to go see her but I'm afraid to because I don't want to upset her or make her any worse than she is already.

I don't know whether I should just go see her and apologise or whether I should leave it alone and stay away.

Any help would be appreciated

Apologize, then stay away and give her some time.

I have apologised many times she doesn't want to know but I don't want to leave it too late. She's in hospital and I don't know whether it would be the wrong thing to go and see her or should I just wait untill she gets out and try talk to her then?

If I had been in your position, I would have apologised and told her that I was sorry but I had to see her because her health is more important than anything to me.... I'd let it be up to her if she wanted to continue communication or not, and if she said no I'd respect that... but I'd be happy just knowing that she's okay....
