Melodic Death Metal
One of my most favorite genre's of music ever. Extremely great stuff. Although it does have it's crap points where a band sounds exacally the same over and over. What are some of your top bands.
Top Five MDM for me in order at the moment.
1. Vehemence [Always]
2. Quo Vadis
3. Mors Principium Est
4. Naumachia
5. Insomnium

I know I'm probably going to get this whole "GO GOOGLE IT YOU HYPOCRITICAL PIRATE ASS BANDIT"
But, firstly BAHAHAHA @ that insult, hilarious.
Secondly, I don't want some big definition and reading it off of something like Wikipedia, I'm not educated [and obviously I'll admit that] in the ways of Melodic Death Metal, or really Metal in general [I use the term loosely for local bands around this crap place...] and don't know any examples of this, so- Someone want to explain it, in normal people terms?

The name itself gives it away...its metal featuring DM vox and melodic riffs/solos.

Sometimes Clean vocal work aswell as a female melodic singer, But alot of the time some people get the whole female singer thing confuserd with Gothic type Metal.

Clean/chick vox is often incorporated yes, but a band cant solely use clean/chick vokills and expect to be a MD band. It nulls the whole thing by not having DM vox...
