When friends cheat friendships

Well we all know that cheaters never prosper because they suck ,but have you ever had a friend who you trusted without question, but they turned out to be your worst nightmare, I have experienced both this on the net and in real time ,hell this person has stolen everything from my birthday chocolate to friend's boyfriends to husbands to who knows what else...
The betrayal of a close friend in some ways is worse than the betrayal of a spouse because you would expect your friend to be the adult and be loyal to you. (The spouse/bf should just be loyal automatically) Obviously this person was just after one thing and they really should have acted their age and walked away but they didnt, so to the general populace of CA have you ever had this happen to you and if you did,how did you get over it?

I had a friend that completely copied everything I did. This person would pretend to be into the same music I'm into, get the same hair-do as me, would talk like me and flirt like mad with whoever I was involved with.

How I got over this?

I ejected this person from my life.

Something similar happened to me, except this friend took my friends away from me. I talked to him, he "shrugged" It off.
It turned out he was rejected from my friends and then I moved back in and they were all glad to get rid of him. Sometimes porblems resolve without you doing anything.

Were do I start ..

I had this best friend, we were friends, from the time we were ankle bitters (Babies)....

Funny enough we went to the same Kinder , same primary school and High school.... When we gratuated from High School we kinda went our seperate ways, and only meet at Parties , Nightclubs .. and rang each other on our Birthdays.....

Anyway. I met this guy , and we ended up getting into a relationship, It was fine , great.. One night This friend of Mine, for years rang me and asked me to go out , a night into town...

I asked my B/F at the time if he wanted to come, he was not feeling well so , he told me to go and have a good Time...So me not thinking anything I went..

When my friend and i were at the Club, I went to the bar to get a Drink.. and left My mobile with Him....

When i got back to My friend told me he had to Go home, coz his roomie forgot the keys and could not get In the House...

I asked him if he wanted me to go with him, he told me to Stay and keep the rest Entertained, Which I did ....( Was that the Biggest Mistake i ever did )

It was like two hours Later and he still had not returned.....

So I rang his Mobile, and message bank was on

In the mean time I rang My B/F and he was not answering... I thought this is really weird....

But not thinking anything bad, coz my B/f hated my Friend (well atleast thats what he had told me)

I kept on trying to ring My B/f and no answer still ..My friend was not coming Back, so I asked another friend to drive me Home , coz i worried about my B/F....

When I got to My home , GUESS WHAT...

YEP , my friends car was in my driveway....

I quickly got out of the car , Went in the house.. their they were Fucking away in my bed...

So much for hating My friend , and so much for a friendship that was like 18 years on .....

I NOW Trust no one .......

So yeah Friends are Nice ... But when they Touch and go After what is the most Important to you ..They are not friends But Traitors .....

I'm happy to say I haven't experienced this. I have had one Best friend (Brittany)since 4th grade. I have a lot of other friends but I don't get as close to them. The biggest problem I have with Britt is all the guys like me first but because I have a b/f they always end up liking Britt. Which sometimes makes me feel Boo hoo they don't like me.(Even though it was me who rejcted them cause I already have someone) The only other problem Britt and I have had is along time ago I was really popular in school so I kinda ditched Britt for another girl in school who was just as popular or maybe even a lil more popular then myself. It didn't take me long to figure out. I don't care if Britt and I are ever the most popular in school..I like who I like. We've never had a problem with stealing from each other cause were kind of like a married couple anything I have is hers and anything she has is mine. When one of us has money and the other one don't we share the money and the next time the other one will. So it works out great. It doesn't hurt that we both get quite a bit of money either.

Ahhh the backstabbing, worthless, theiving friend. Yes I've had that happen. The only good difference between the cheating friend and a cheating spouse IS that there's no divorce. Although at times you may feel as though you're going through a divorce because the emotional damage is very similar.
The only friend to do me this way was someone I thought was 'a sister to me' but she ended up so jealous of everything that she stole from me, she told lies, she tried to manipulate my other friends into thinking I was a bad person. I'm just not one to cling to a friendship and try to fix it when I know I should cut the ties. It's hard because after knowing someone so long you have a lot of emotions and anger going on. But move on it is, and eventually the next best friend comes along.

Excellent post,its hard to accept when people do this type of thing though,it makes you trust people even less.

That's true, it is hard to get over at times. But one person doesn't make me trust people less. I feel a little uneasy after being burned, but as they say 'no one's perfect'. *no I don't have SUCKER stamped on my forehead*
