Who was the best James Bond?

Who was, in your opinions, the best actor to have played James Bond? Personally, Timothy Dalton was the best James Bond. Even though he was only in two films, I felt he brought a colder, grittier James Bond to the screen. I think the reason he was booted after only two movies is because the public wasn't quite used to that, for Roger Moore played a more "light" James Bond for 12 years.

Sean Connery, he was great.. Awesome actor, and i thought he fitted the role perfectly.. I don't mind Pierce Brosnan as Bond either.. Heard that he's been axed as Bond because he's too old.. I'm like, "WHAT?!".. Pierce Brosnan i thought was the perfect modern day Bond, took me a while to get used to him as Bond, but i eventually i was like "Cool".. But yah, Sean Connery for me..
