well, i would tell you what i thought of it.

but mine came with NO product code SO i can't play it.

so i have to return it tomorrow.

fucking useless, i tell you.

if that happens to me when i buy burning crusade (wow expansion) thou shalt not be happy.

anyway, anyone else play?

it'll be my first aoe game, so also has anyone played one or two?

I've played them all... been playing Aoe 2 expansion for about 5-6 years now. Rating on MSN Gaming zone of about 1900 but i just gave up after a while.

Anyway, yeah 3's alright but with these new fancy 3D RTS games you just can't really get much micromanagement, it's more about macromanagement.

unlike any RTS game, this has what's called a home city. It's like some weird resource management like a screen, where you have to go and buy supplies. I didn't like that at all. Also it has these weird indian settler things. You can like build camps and get indians to fight for you that's just a really weird idea.

Anyway what this game has is basically a good basic RTS game, but with very annoying apsects to it that really put someone who's just looking for a classic RTS game and action to play, totally off the game.

But hey, since I am a little biased since I've played the whole series (and in competitive online play and LAN tournements with a family member of mine), I haven't really found an RTS that matches up to the standards of the aoe2:expansion.

forget starcraft, C&C series, etc. I've always been an Aoe fan, age of mythology was total garbage, aoe3 is better than that. But yeah I was a saying it's not just an up-to-date RPT, but it's got this whole 'home city' and annoying "uniqueness" about it, when classic fans of the aoe series just wanted the same basic engine and strategy, but a new era/advanced layout.

Anyway, since it's your first, you may, and probably will enjoy it.

AoE 2 : Conquerors is by far the best RTS game ive ever played..just ahead of C&C - Yuris Revenge. I havent played AoE3, but it looks damn good

It's not as good as AOE 2. I was disapointed in it, to tell the truth. I loved the era it was set in, but the home city thing turned me away. And yeah. Masque pretty much summed it all up.

i got aoe3 but my graphic card not good enough so it crashes all the time. so i never play it. i got aoe 2 ... that game owns but i get owned when i play online xD

I have 3. It's good, but i prefer ancient times. Like 1 and 2. Speaking of 2, when i play Deathmatch, after a few mins into the game, all the CPU players give up and i win O_O' The only way i can play without them doing that is doing the protect king option >_>'

Anyone else have that problem?

very fun game....the british are awsome.... but they usually get swarmed... its fun and very pretty but it get repeatative very quickly....

You need to download and Install a Patch. Google 'Age of Empires 2 Patch'

My game crashes all the time now
