September 11th
It's been years that you've been gone
I never knew I would be alone
Your clothes still hang in the closet next to mine
I can still taste your favorite wine
On September 11th I got a call
All that smoke had you up against a wall
You said everything will be alright
That you weren't giving up with out a fight
I watched the news all afternoon
Praying to see you-- not a moment to soon
Smoke and firemen was all you would see
People screaming to be free
The buildings was burning
And my eyes were to from crying
Deep inside my heart was dying
Never knowing if I would see you again; my husband, my best friend
When the people got free I cried
Praying to see you standing in the crowd
I never saw you standing out there
Emotions raw, staying home I couldn't bear
I went to the scene and a policeman stopped me
I cried my husbands up there somebody please help me
He said they were doing all they could do
I'll never forget the men all in blue
It's been five years that he's been gone
My love for him is still very strong
Everyone were heros on that fateful day
I'll never forget him as I continue to pray.

My father was sent of to war after that, and now I hardly see him anymore, it is not because of his new wife, it is because of the war why we aren't like we used to be...... Great Poem...made me cry.
