Blind OR Deaf?

Which is worse?
Being blind or deaf?
For me, it's a tradeoff either way. If I were blind, then I can't play my video games that I love so much... On the other hand, if I were deaf, then I can't hear my oh so wonderful music that I enjoy so much.
I think being blind is worse, even though I could get a damn dog to lead me places if I were blind, I rather see with my own eyes than to trust a critter. I can always have subtitles on movies and shows if I were deaf anyways; which I still have even now since I don't always catch what they say. =/
So which one do you think is worse?
P.S. No pun intended for those who are actually deaf, or even blind... which makes me wonder how you are reading this, unless someone is reading it for you. =/

I'd rather be deaf, than blind. Sure, music is practically my life.. I would probalby shoot myself if I went deaf now.. but being born deaf, would not be so bad at all..
Blind on the other hand, restricts you from doing so much more. If I were blind.. I probably wouldn't be online right now o_O... or watching TV...

I cannot explain but going through life blind is worst than going through it deaf.
What you cannot hear can't hurt you . . but what you witness is what you believe . .
It's like the saying " seeing is believing " . . . It is proof that you have seen it and witnessed it, rather than hearing gossips and lies.
The true beauty of nature is only appricated with Sight not Hearing . .

It's impossible to say unless you have experienced both to be honest.
I would say deaf because I am capable of walking round places I know with my eyes closed, obviously if I'm in new places I would have trouble at first but I think I would cope better.

Keeping in mind that remarkably acute hearing often compensates for the lack of sight over time, I still think deafness would be preferrable to blindness.
Maybe that's why hearing tries to work as "eyes" for blind people in the first place. Nature knows what we need to survive. We need to see.
If a blind man hears a sound in the corner. He will turn his head toward it ...
And his blind eyes will look exactly where they would be looking IF he had eyes.

i'd rather be deaf.
i'd hate not to be able to see my family, friends, sand, sunshine, snow, animals, and rollercoasters and just in general everything i find interesting and i probably don't realise how lucky i am to be able to see them. :/
there is only one thing i really do with my ears and thats listen to music. >_>
i'd rather appreciate everything around me than try to imagine with my ears.

Being blind i think is definitely worse than being deaf....being blind theres a lot of things you cant do...that takes a long time to learn how to do....like cook for yourself.....you cant drive.........while walking anywhere you need a stick and or dog, and you always gotta be careful where you are going...you cant see your loved ones aka friends, relatives, etc and so many other challenges like finding what you want to wear, etc......being deaf...you can pretty much do anything, drive, walk, cooking, etc.........the only thing with deaf people is they cant hear people talking, some deaf people can talk, but not very much, most use sign language, can hear the tv...but there is closed captioning, and they cant listen to music...so yeah blind is definitely worse
