World Cup Winning - Golden Ball Or Penalties?

Anyway After the match, if there's no winner, it goes to Penalties. But i think they should play on until one of them scores. It just seems more proper? O_O' The only fault i can think of is that it can go on for a while, but it still takes more skill than Penalties. (I ain't saying this because we lost I was gonna post this a while ago, but forgot ).

But wat do u's think? It obviously goes for everyone

No, I think golden goals are an awful way to end the game. So are penalties..but in a 30 minute ET both team has opportunity to score. Penalties, both team has the opportunity to score.

Golden Goals removes the opportunity to equalise.

So, pens are cruel, but for me, they work better than a golden goal.

how about they just flip a coin i'm sure in Ice Hockey (i'm probably wrong) but when it's a tie they start from the centre thingy and skate up to the goal thingy and try to score ..that would be cool in Football could you imagine Ronaldo (Brazilian) running from the half way line ..he would be knackered by the time he got to the goals

But i still don't see how a country can become WORLD CHAMPIONS over penalties =/ Where's the skill? The goalie guesses wat way the balls gonna go, and the only skill the shooter has is trying to deceive the goalie. The fact they go in or not is still 80% chance. How can the world decide it's champion over penalties?

Like i said, the only problem is it could go on a bit, and tire everyone out, but there's got to be a way around that
