Recommendations

Ok here's the deal..
Lately I've been getting recommendations from popups saying I should install stuff to get rid of sites I've been visiting. I got a popup 5 minutes ago saying something to the extent of..''Your browser has detected that I've been visiting adult sites.. which ultimately could wreck your career and marriage... and this can give out your credit card details'' and all that crap.
First off, I aint married, have a career nor have a credit card. The adult sites I have supposedly visited is a crock because this laptop is filtered from adult sites so there's no way I can access, or view adult sites. I contacted broadband and they checked and it came up blank, and they informed us that nothing is wrong, and assured me that theres nothing that has installed itself and running u charges etc and I'm perfectly fine.
Does anyone know why I get these bloody things?

Any help would be great.

from IE go to http://housecall.trendmicro.com run the test...it'll require you to accept an installation request...and time to download the scanner...it runs both an anti-virus and anti-spyware...so covers both bases...and removes them...

I used to get the same messages which is crap, but i reloded my entire computer and it seemed to be fine.

Thanks StubleU.. after I downloaded it, it said it's a 30day only trial.. will that charge me after 30 days or just expire, sort of thing?

you've done something wrong...because it should run a free online scan
