Yeah I like Death Cab for Cutie (and the Postal Service too) I went to see them live a few months ago and thought they were really good.
Im not sure Id class these as indie, but other bands I like...
The Shins, Belle and Sebastian, Camera Obscura, José Gonzalez, Jim Noir, Arcade Fire, Sufjan Stevens, The Loungs, Broken Social Scene, Superimposers, plus classic indie/madchester and britpop stuff

I think I'm drunk enough to drive you home now
I'll keep my mouth kept shut from under lock and key
That's rusted firm, no lie
'Cause all these conversations wind on and on....
Drinking champagne from a paper cup
Is never quite the same
And every sip's moving through my eyes
And up into my brain
At half past two; about time to leave
'Cause the DJ's playing rhythm and blues
A sad-sorry state, stutter step to those slammin' grooves
As i'm waiting around for you....

I think my favs would have to be title and registration, crooked teeth and i will follow you into the dark. When i first heard crooked teeth it was weird coz it was alot more different to how they usually play their songs so i guess it was good for a change. I'd like to see more songs lyk that from them in the future.

Death Cab For Cutie are alright, however I wonder how you can call a band that's signed to a major record label "indie".
Rather than being content with calling them a great band or even a good band, you'd rather call them something that they're not.
Indie is short for independant, as in "independant record label". If you mean to use "indie" as a genre of music, then well... its lame, and you really should stop.
Back to the topic at hand, the The Photo Book and Transatlanticism albums is nice, however I haven't gotten into Plans all that much.

I'm not calling their genre indie as I perfectly know their genre is rock/pop however I am saying their styles are indie along with alternative and dream pop.
Anyways never mind that
Plans is an awesome album, bought it a week after it came out, has some songs on there I dislike but who doesn't. Transatlanticism is probably my favourite album, has all my favs on there.
